I cannot say enough wonderful things about this cooking class! From start to finish, the experience was absolutely exceptional. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was beyond outstanding.

Our head chef, Aleksandr, and his lovely daughter made us feel right at home, treating us to delicious wine and appetizers before guiding us through an incredible hands-on cooking experience. They were patient, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about what they do, making every moment enjoyable.

We learned how to make several different dishes, and the process was so much fun! The group was fantastic, and there were plenty of laughs, great conversation, and, of course, incredible food. To top it all off, we took tons of pictures—we actually looked like professional chefs in the kitchen!

This class was extra special because we were celebrating my mom’s 65th birthday, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend it. Whether you're looking for a unique date night, a fun family activity, or simply want to improve your cooking skills, this is the place to be.

I learned of this cooking class since I am a frequent patron of the Common in Bay Ridge. The food is so good that I knew I wanted to experience more of their offerings. It was a great decision!

I had the most incredible time at the Italian cooking class, and I can't recommend it enough! Alexander, the chef, was absolutely amazing. His energy and passion for cooking and teaching is contagious, and it made the whole experience so much fun. He didn’t just teach us how to cook—he brought the essence of Italian food to life with every story, tip, and technique he shared.

From the moment we walked in, Alexander made us feel like part of the family.

He spoiled us with delicious appetizers and endless glasses of wine.

His enthusiasm was unmatched, and he created a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere where we could all get involved and feel comfortable in the kitchen. We learned how to make everything from scratch.

He scolded a couple of the knuckleheads (present company included).

But that made it more fun. I felt like I was in Gordon Ramsey’s Hell’s Kitchen!

This was my husband's and my first time doing anything like this (cooking class) and we'd do it again in a heartbeat, especially here. Alex our chef was wonderfully accommodating and personable and greeted us all with a wonderful hors d'oeuvres spread. Each pair that arrived (limit 10) picked a dish from a predetermined French menu and we all headed into the kitchen and made it, with hands on guidance. Then we all sat down to a lovely meal.
