I hate to leave a review as this is not normally something I would do as I like to give businesses the benefit of the doubt. However being a frequent customer I expect either consistency. This location is a hit or miss depending on which selling associates are in the store. While some days I’ve been in there I’ve been helped better than ALL other locations I’ve ever been, other days I walk in and no one is available to help me as sometimes there’s like no one to be found. I’m usually helped by a beautiful young lady with short hair black curly hair or sometimes even a young (always fashionable) male but neither of these two people have been present the last few times I’ve been in. I was in on Saturday to make a return and was met with subpar service. The person at the register was helping me with a return and she needed help with sometime so she called for a manager on the walkie talkie for one. It took 5 minutes for the manager to come down and when she did, she was incredibly rude. You can get better customer service anywhere else than this...
Read moreMy first experience was great – the staff were helpful and friendly. One associate even went out of their way to find a specific item, and the cashier was incredibly welcoming.
However, my recent experience returning a bag was the complete opposite. The associate (black hair) was rude and repeatedly questioned me about the missing price tag in a suspicious manner. I explained that the bag never had a tag, as a previous associate had retrieved it from the stockroom and confirmed the price at the checkout.
She even responded with a dismissive "mhm" when I thanked her after the return was complete (which I regretted). This level of disrespect is unacceptable. The store manager or whoever is in charge should provide better training to their staff on how to interact with customers.
Needless to say, I won't be returning to this location. I'll try my luck at the WTC store or another branch, hoping for a more consistent level of...
Read moreIf this had been my first Cos experience it would have been my last. There were three employees working on a beautiful Saturday at 2pm, when foot traffic in Williamsburg is at its peak and the store had easily 50 people in it. The three employees were manning the cash register and two fitting rooms, with lines 10+ people deep in each. No one was able to help find an item that online listed as available in store. None of them seemed to care, either, which I get — they must have been yelled at by frustrated customers all day. I tried calling multiple times over two days to ask them to hold the item at the register; I now understand why they don’t answer the phone (but rather a recording plays and then disconnects the line). Altogether a really frustrating experience. Cos on Spring Street is easy and delightful and always has been. Why Williamsburg is so glaringly the opposite is...
