This D'Agostinos is my grocery store rock: they've been in the neighborhood for as long as I can remember (so, at least 35 years) and they always, always close at 10 except on major national holidays. They will ALWAYS be there for you when you need milk at 9:55 PM, or when you realize your lettuce (from a different store) is rotten and you were right in the middle of making a salad (admittedly, it helps to live right across the street from them).
The employees are generally friendly and accommodating (it's a union store, so I think they get better pay and benefits than most grocery stores), and the managers truly take pride in their store.
The deli and bakery items are the highlight. They started baking their own croissants about a year ago, and most recently they started baking brownies and blondies that are to die for. They also have really great pies, though I'm not sure if those are made in-house. The muffins are great too, especially the cranberry walnut.
The only downside is that the prices on a lot of the everyday grocery items are insanely high ($6.49 for a can of Reddi Whip, $10.49 for a half-gallon of vanilla ice cream...but the pie I bought to go with them was only $9???). For people on a budget, this can't be your main grocery store; it's just not feasible to spend this much on basic grocery items all the time.
They do have a lot of sales, though, so whenever I go in for a specific item, I usually also wander the store a bit to see where I can shop strategically (like, the cereal is normally insanely expensive, but hey, this week they have Apple Cinnamon Cheerios for $3.99, so Iet's get 3 boxes of those). Also, recently they've started giving out $5 rewards coupons (not sure how much you have to spend...
Read moreI love D'Agostino's because it is never crowded and the service there is impeccable! The cashier's, the produce clerks, the stock clerks, the managers are so kind, patient and pleasant. I love the fact that they have senior day and discounts! The supermarket is always clean and well stocked with items that are really of good quality that I can't find in Trader Joe's or KeyFood. I like the Oreida FastFood French Fries no other store carries them i.e. Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, KeyFood. It"s like D'Agostino's stocks top shelf food items and then the other stores stock generic brands. I love the store hours from 10am to 10pm it is located on a well lit block so I feel safe shopping at that location. It has an Amazon package hub so you can pickup your Amazon products and shop for groceries at the same time if you are a multitasking person. Some of the items are slightly higher but for me I rather pay fifty cents more for an item than stand on a long line for an hour just to get in and out of a store. Nor do I enjoy crowds so I prefer to shop where I can get what I need and leave. So if you are a person who wishes to avoid long lines and crowded stores D'AGOSTINO'S is the store for you. If you want to shop at a clean, well stocked, quality merchandise supermarket D'Agostino's is the supermarket for you. If you want impeccable customer service and convenient stores hours D'Agostino's is the store for you. If you want a business that is senior friendly D'AGOSTINO'S is the supermarket for you. If you want great discounts D'AGOSTINO'S is the place for...
Read moreIncident happened on Tuesday 10/21/25 at 8:50PM with the African American Security in the night shift.
I walked in the store and asked security what time the store closes and he said 10pm. I went to the freezer aisle and the security followed me and harassed me. He told me I was taking too long shopping and I told him I didn't know his job was to follow and rush customers. I reminded him He told me the store closes at 10pm. I had a whole hour left to shop.
He then gave me a sarcastic tone, and said "I didn't know you wanted to be here all night until 10pm." He proceeded to keep bothering me and said I'm taking too long.
He definitely made me feel VERY uncomfortable. It is my first time being racially profiled, followed around, and spoken down to in such...
