This place is one of the best cigar shops in Manhattan.
Starting from the staff. They are very helpful, professional, and very friendly. They make you feel that you have known them for a long time and that you are a VIP walking into the place. They can suggest different smokes depending on your preferences.
The place. The design, the colours, the humidor is very well preserved and clean, and most importantly, the smoking area!! It is very nice calm and a very thoughtful touch is that phone calls are not allowed inside. They encourage people communicate and have face to face conversations and learn more about different smokes and preferences. It is my favourite cigar smoking spot in New York.
Their collection, it’s very eclectic. They have different smokes for everyone. They have all Davidoff collection which is my favourite. I really like Churchill Late Hour aged. They have all kinds of packs from Davidoff. And all the best cigar companies because Davidoff is always concerned about quality and high end cigars, yet, good prices. They have one of the best prices in Manhattan.
Sometimes this place celebrates some occasions, so you might be getting a lot of free food, desserts, fruits and drinks, if you are lucky to catch one. Just make sure you keep track with them.
There are good places nearby for coffee. Just next door. And the opposite side of the ave you can find an open buffet shop called Smilers (check my review on it).
When you go to Davidoff, ask about Ashraf, the manager. He’s very nice and all the...
Read moreStepping into the Davidoff Cigar Store in Madison, New York, I knew I was in for a treat. The store's luxurious vibe hit me the moment I walked in - a mix of classic charm and modern sophistication. It's not just a spot to buy cigars; it's a place to experience them.
Peter, the store manager, was a class act. Not only did he know his cigars, but he also knew how to connect with a fellow aficionado. We vibed over our shared love for quality cigars, and his suggestion of the Securio Robusto was spot on. That cigar was a revelation, smooth and robust, making it straight to my top 10 list.
The highlight, though, was the VIP lounge - a $100 ticket to an exclusive leaf paradise. Though steep, it's New York, and the experience was worth every penny. The ambiance in the lounge was exactly what you'd expect - plush, intimate, and perfect for savoring a good smoke.
Meeting Robert, the other store manager and a Harlem native, was like connecting with a piece of Atlanta in New York. His stories about the old days, reminiscing about $37 courtside seats at Hawks games, added a personal touch that made the experience more memorable.
For someone who spends days architecting cloud solutions, finding a place like Davidoff is a treasure. It's not just about enjoying a premium cigar; it's about the experience, the stories, and the connections. I'm making it a point to visit Davidoff stores in my travels. This place isn't just a store; it's a haven for those who appreciate the finer things in life. My rating? Easily a seven...
Read moreAfter having a pretty good week of studio work, I decided to have a cigar with my coffee for Senbet. Was running a little late and I reached Nat Sherman’s at 7:15pm. The Indian statue was inside and so that’s that. Hmm... Let’s hit Madison Ave. Davidoff Of Geneva has been putting out some very awesome smokes since 1911. Be sure and hit their website and read of one very interesting story of this brand. I asked the tobacconist named Agur to slip me something medium and he suggested I get a Flor de las Antillas. It’s repping Cuba and I really like it. So soothing and nice with my sabbath coffee. I’ll be back there very soon to try others. I did a quick view of the humidor and it was rich. Really rich. #FlordelasAntillas #cuban #cuba #davidoffofgeneva #sankofatafari #kingofcoffeenyc #nyc...
