I bought a Dji air3s with insurance through Dji back in April. I crashed my drone flying it at night while filming a customers house for my business. Because of the drone ban currently ongoing Dji said it would be 60-90 days before I could send my drone In to them. After reaching out to 5 stores across the US, this is the only place the responded to my calls. They said they could look at the drone and quote a repair so I drove 4 hours there to drop it off (8 hours total). while on my way to drop it off, I stopped in Jersey on my way there to buy a air3s off someone who bought it just to make an unboxing video for YouTube. The gentleman sold me his air3s with a battery, controller and a bunch of other accessories for $900 total. Camrise was quick to diagnose the issue with my drone however the quote was extremely high ($934 before taxes lol) . Same price as buying a new one. Actually higher. eBay has used gimbals for less than $500, along with gimbal motors for less than $100, so you’d think a Dji authorized reseller would have more than enough spare parts in stock to match or beat those prices, but I was wrong. I declined the repair and bought a brand new AIR3s for $35 less than the repair quote . They said the whole gimbal and camera needed to be replaced when Dji told me it was just the yaw motor (Dji eventually let me send it in to them and I confirmed the camera still worked before I gave them the drone for the repair estimate) . The camera on the gimbal works just fine. Dji finally reached out to me to send the drone in and confirmed that is was just one of the motors in the gimbal and didn’t even charge me for it. I also didn’t discover that this place is just a 3rd party authorized reseller of Dji products, not an official Dji store until after I dropped it off for them to fix . Like I said the repair quote came back quickly, but it was more than buying a new one, I felt like it was price gouging because of the current drone bans going on which they are trying to take advantage of. The gentleman in the store was also extremely rude. I have seen countless people mention on forums online about how Dji fixed their broken drones as a one time courtesy, even with them not having Dji insurance; and when I mentioned that to the employee in the store he literally scoffed at me (which other people on yelp have also mentioned) they have a 2.5 rating on yelp with many others describing the same issues with their employees in store . It was a completely different tone from when I talked to them on the phone. I have attatched a picture of the quote. So in the end like I said, I snapped the shock mount housing on my air3s gimbal, along with killing one of the gimbal motors, and they wanted to charge me $934 plus tax to replace the whole gimbal and gimbal camera. In the end, the actual DJI representatives eventually reached out and let me send it in to them where they confirmed the camera still worked, and fixed the gimbal yaw motor free of charge, just like I have seen other...
Read moreLet me tell you about my first and last experience at the DJI Store.
The Mavic Air has been released, but for some reason they are only selling 6 per day at the store. Fine.
I called on January 29th and asked specifically for the fly more combo. They said it was available but I would have to show up before opening the following day and line up.
Fine.
Sometimes the people answering the phone aren't reliable so I stopped by the store since it's relatively close to my office. I went in the afternoon and another employee confirmed that yes, they will have the fly more combo available and I just have to come before opening.
So I say sure, I will go there early because this is a gift and I don't mind. I get there at 8 sharp. A full hour before it opens. I'm the first one there.
Over the course of the hour four others join me. A guy from Australia, one from Israel, and I think two other tourists. I’m the only local guy. All but one wants the combo pack.
An employee shows up around 830. Older man, maybe 50s, white hair comes in and tells us the store doesn't open until 9.
Yes, we know that.
He opens the store at 8:50 and we walk in excited.
He then tells us that they have black and white drones only. No combo packs in any color.
I’m obviously upset. I just stood an hour in the cold because I was lied to by employees.
Another guy is also upset and tells the employee that he was told the same thing and I was. Older man immediately gets loud and rude.
“What you were told isn’t going to change what’s about to happen now”
He then tells the other guy that he assumed that there would be combo packs.
Good job store employee. First get loud at customers and then accuse them of either incorrectly assuming information or worse lying.
I left without a drone and I will never be back.
If this store is actually run by DJI, I would take a serious look at how they manage themselves.
$1000 isn’t the end of the world, but it’s a relatively significant amount of money to spend on a toy. You have a handful of people who are interested enough to line up in the cold. Treat them with...
Read moreThis company is unreliable they burned me twice! The first time I ordered a cable replacement kit for a drone and they sent a Stand for a hand held Gimble! I got my money back ASAP because it was a Amazon prime shipped by amazon order! I had to order it from another seller to get what I paid for! Then it ordered a 4K camera to repair a customers drone it was listed as “NEW” I don’t know what I got but it wasn’t new! When I asked them in a email about the camera right after I ordered it they said i didn’t order anything from them? But I paid amazon and had a invoice? When I told them this they just gave me Amazons phone number and said to call them! They made me pay to return this used broken camera and belittle me ! Because I stood up to them! Amazon did refund the shipping charges for this company’s failure to play by amazons rules about returns of defective items! I had to protect myself when returning the camera I asked permission in the ups shipping center if I could video the entire event! I used a GoPro in 4K to capture the cameras serial number, it being put in the box, sealed, and the ups label being put on! I don’t trust these people at Camrise! It was shipped back with plenty of insurance and a adult signature required! If they try anything my bank USAA has been notified of the incident and will take appropriate action! They video is evidence for the bank if needed! USAA stands by they Military members! Camrise is a not a good business to deal with from the reviews I see I am not the only one something like this has happened to! They like to say “You didn’t order from us!” That excuse doesn’t work! Becarful people and only buy from them with a method that you can protect yourself! Also I spoke with DJI and apparently the camera I ordered is supposed to be only available from Dji it’s not for sale and only sold during a repair by Dji’s facility in California they don’t sell them to the public not even Dji Authorized distributors! How Camrise supposedly has them for sale as New is a big red flag! And from my experience any positive reviews are either Fake or...
