DLHOPE Hair salon — Local services in New York

Walked in requesting only one thing, and came only with a "suggested" added service, that could've saved me money. To start off, the store front is called "muze salon" I couldn't find Google reviews so that was my fault to trust in going in. From my experience in the past, the stylist should give a rundown of what you could do with your hair if it's damaged even if you requested just to do one thing. This way the customer can decide first. Instead it was, "decide as you go" I did the coloring first then was "suggested" to do another service (keratin) to care for my hair, and out of shame I accepted it. But this one didnt even last a week. I had 2 people working on my hair and both were rough, I didn't like it, both during the wash, and on the sest during the coloring and drying. I was also shamed by the comments my stylist had of my hair, I know I didn't care for it well but I was the comments were at least just stated once instead of questions pushing for answers.

Lastly, I was also suggested a hair cut but since it was getting late as the other treatment already added another hour, I said I changed my mind. I was however, still charged for that. I wasn't even asked to pay at the front counter, it was by zelle which also made me feel uncomfortable and obligated for the tip. I got my nails done here because I've been going here since the salon first open when it was Muze and my nails had never been healthier or better condition back when it was Muze. Just left when I had a schedule appointment the new person because none of the Old nail techs are employed there any longer under the new management. I went to a different person. She starts taking off my color stops because an Asian women walks in and sits down and tells me she'll be right with me in 10 minutes. Fast forward to nearly an hour and change later. My nails are partially filed off and she finally starts doing my nails because she had stopped to do the Asian woman's nails that came in. Absolutely horrendous customer service and then had the audacity when she was finally finished with my nails to ask for a tip after making me wait over an hour to be serviced when she had started servicing me a butts because she wanted to serve us an Asian woman instead of myself. Do not go here to get your nails done. Waste the time unless you want to wait a ridiculous amounts of time because you are not their...

If you’re looking for a blowout, don’t come here. I specifically asked for a blowout and the stylist used a flat iron and told me that it’ll give the same look (it did not) No heat protectant either. When I asked, he told me that I should buy one with my own money and bring it to the salon. Then he proceeded to go over each section of my hair 4 to 5 times and my hair feels so dead now. Steam was coming out and I was worried about the damage but he told me that there’s steam because my hair is probably oily and dirty which doesn’t make sense because they literally just washed it.
