Horrible experience. Extremely disappointing patient care. I went in to see Dr. Ingram, as I was having symptoms of tachycardia including sudden loss of breath, palpitations, dizziness, abnormally fast heartbeat, difficulty breathing, etc. I was instructed to wear a 24 hour heart monitor, followed by a 30 day heart monitor. After my 30 days on the monitor were up, I was told to schedule a follow-up appointment the following week to be informed about my results and to discuss treatment. When I went in, I waited over an hour past my appointment time (not unusual - every time I've been in there she's run late). When she finally came into the room, Dr. Ingram told me that she hadn't even looked at my test results. She clearly hadn't even reviewed my case prior to my appointment because she had no recollection of why I had come in to see her, or that I had been on the heart monitor at all. Before even studying the results, she kept telling me that I was "probably fine". She repeated it over and over as she was reading the results of the monitor for her first time while I was in the room. Then she got to the parts of the results that indicated I have tachycardia. She said, "Oh wait. You DO have something. This is tachycardia". When I pushed for more information, she told me she'd have to review it with a technician and that if I called her the following week, we could speak about it more. I was entirely unsatisfied with her response, and explained that my symptoms were ongoing and how debilitating they are to my daily routine. I also mentioned how impossible it is to get her on the phone. She told me to call that coming Monday at 11am and assured me she'd be able to take my call. This was over a month ago. I have been playing phone-tag with her ever since. I called her every day for 2 weeks and never got a hold of her. She called me back once or twice after work hours when I was on the subway home and couldn't answer the call. In her message, she told me to call back, but she never answered when I did. I still continue to call weekly. I've left numerous messages with her assistant and still have not had my calls returned. I have a medical condition that makes me fear for my life. I spend many nights debating whether my symptoms are bad enough to go to the ER as my symptoms are that severe. But still my cardiologist refuses to give me any attention to correctly diagnose me, discuss my options and treatment, or help calm my fears in any way. Dr. Ingram is the worst physician I have ever seen. I have never been treated this poorly by any...
Read moreDr. Ingram listened thoroughly to my description of symptoms, performed necessary tests in office, and delivered a diagnosis. She sent me to Mt, Sinai that day for scans where her diagnosis was confirmed. I was scheduled for an emergency catheterization and stent implant. She quite possibly saved my life and most assuredly increased the quality of my life greatly. She is a superb physician with a ready smile who is all business when the...
Read moreEverything related to the cardio stress test was efficient but impersonal. No one explained what was expected of me — to be dressed/undressed; how long each procedure would take; how long waiting periods would be; my personal comfort I.e. lying on my back without lumbar support for up to 15 minutes etc. However technicians were capable and moved fast while impersonal and (even if it’s irrelevant) humorless at the end...
