It is with a heavy heart and genuine regret that I find myself compelled to share my recent experience at the salon. I always believe in giving credit where it's due, and I must say, the staff, particularly my nail artist, was exceptionally kind and welcoming throughout my visit. My appointment was for the removal of my acrylic nails, which involved the use of an electric file.

Unfortunately, it became apparent during the procedure that the nail artist was unfamiliar with the electric filer. The device frequently made contact with my hands rather than my nails, causing discomfort and pain. This lack of precision in the use of the tool led to my nails being overfiled, resulting in a degree of injury that necessitated a visit to the ER— for multiple fingers.

It's my sincere hope that the salon will consider investing in comprehensive training for their artists, ensuring that they are fully prepared to use all tools...

So I am just leaving there, and the pedicure itself I would give 4 stars—good for the price!

The reason I’m bumping it up to 5 stars is for the customer service and the wonderful ladies that work there. I was an idiot and forgot sandals, so was only wearing my work flats. After thinking I had waited long enough, I put my flats on and left. At the subway station, I wanted to check, and half the polish had come off my left big toe and there was a smudge in my right toe. Even though it was close to closing, my nail tech let me back in, and carefully repainted each big toe.

THEN, as I was turning to get off the chair, I swiped the techs arm... literally ruining the entire nail again. So she patiently repainted it, and they stayed open (past closing) as I sat under the dryer for a few minutes.

This kind of well, kindness, is the type of stuff that will bring me back to this location, even though I live...

Paid $70 for gel “chrome” nails that look worse than if I’d done them at home. The polish was chipped, messy and uneven. I asked for chrome and they gave me something sparkly instead. I don’t know if they just put too much on, but my nails are completely silver, which isn’t how the chrome finish is supposed to look. When I tried to say that’s not what I wanted, they insisted it was and that it just looks different on real nails vs fake (which, even if that is true, they should have told me it wouldn’t look like the nail sample they showed me).
