It's places like Emily's Pork Store that make New York City, that make Brooklyn, so special.
Great people. Family owned. 50 years. Unbelievably authentic and passionate about doing things the right way. These guys provide the best of the best and not for some social media kick. It's so the neighborhood can enjoy the beautiful Italian culture and form a community around that. We gotta keep institutions like these around another 50 years!
I ended up eating two sandwiches (splitting half of each with my buddy).
First, I asked the gentleman behind the counter to whip up whatever type of sandwich he was feeling. Anything. He prepared a delicious chicken cutlet. The freshness was revitalizing. I went right back in after finishing it, and since the first sandwich was so good I wanted to try a second one. This time asking for a prosciutto sandwich specifically. I was especially in heaven eating that. I personally prefer pork based sandwiches, but you cant go wrong with anything here. Those spicy peppers though - cant beat em. Not acidic whatsoever.
I wish my home smelled as good as this shop does....

Went to this establishment recently(Decades removed from my childhood, l moved away long ago).l brought my family as tourist to my old neighborhood. I was pleased to see it still a charming well run family owned establishment. I hghly recommend it. The food is till fantastic and the family working the counter are still...
