Don’t be fooled by the decent prices for the area. I question their judgment, expertise and customer management skills after my last visit and do not plan to come back.

I made an appointment for 5pm on a Sunday and arrived a little after 5pm all to wait 15 minutes until one of the women was free. So essentially making an appointment means nothing - might as well walk in and you’ll get the same. I then proceeded to get my gel soaked and wrapped in tinfoil which required additional waiting while the woman working on my nails went to go work on another pedicure (a walk-in after me) for an extended period of time. Not saying it was her fault - I think she was doing her best- but not sure why they are taking walk ins and working on them while others with an appointment have to wait for it. Actually I do know why- for the money. However they clearly did not have the staff and capacity to be accepting walk ins. If anything they could have told the woman if she was willing to wait until they had someone open. When taking off the tip and gel of one of my nails, I felt a sharp pain against my nail and thumb. The skin behind the nail is now distressed from the woman going too deep (albeit I think she was doing her best but still) with one of the tools. Attached is a photo of the after math.

All to say I did not proceed with getting polish on and paid for the soak off respectfully and left. Again I get they may have been doing their best but I’m not sure why their customer capacity is not properly managed and why they did not know what they were doing even on my nails especially when they were taking off the gel and a tip that I had gotten done at...

Sad to say this was the WORST pedicure I’ve ever received! They are relentless in trying to upsell and if you say no, they shame you and don’t do a good job. My friend’s pedicure turned out fine, and she received a complimentary massage at the end. I was courteous to my nail tech but after I declined any add-ons for both my friend and I (it was her first pedicure and she was feeling anxious), she rushed through my service and literally handed me the check while my nails were still wet, and fully skipped my massage. Strangest experience I’ve had at a salon!

I did say something after I took a good look at my nails (and tipped 30%) - and saw that she missed several spots and left paint on my cuticles. Another woman kindly tried to fix them up and they’re much better than before, but still super messy and not how anyone should be leaving the salon. Again, my friend had a good experience here but it feels very hit or miss. My nail tech wore a big bedazzled cross necklace so maybe ask for...

I have been a loyal customer to Emma Nails for some time now, but after my last visit I will not be returning. When I walked in, one woman did my pedicure, then I was handed off to a second woman who did my manicure, seemingly because the first woman did not know how to do dips. The whole process took much longer than usual, a few nails came out uneven, and I did not receive the shoulder massage that is supposed to be included. When it came time to pay, I gave a generous tip despite these issues. The two women then demanded separate tips for each of them--even though I never asked for two women to complete the job and would have preferred only one so I could get out more quickly. I didn't have more cash and had already tipped on the entire bill so I apologized and started to leave, at which point one of the women commented loudly in front of everyone "guess we won't be getting any money today." It was humiliating, unprofessional, and...

I was a walk in, trying to find a place near my new apartment. They started with my pedicure which was good. I got powder nails and they don’t have a large color selection, 1 silver display ring of colors that are mostly red and pinks. The tech, Amy-started to be pushy and yank on my fingers, but whatever you get what you pay for. At the end my nail had a bubble on it, I asked her to fix it before the top coat. She rudely told me the top coat would cover it, but then the top coat didn’t and she tried to downplay it. All cost plus tip was $90. It’s day two and the polish is splintering, which happens when the powder gel liquid is old. These are the nails, I still think they look sloppy, but if you like them Amy did them and will do yours the same.
