I was contemplating whether I should post a review or not but after reading through other reviews, itâs clear that my experience and treatment I received was not an isolated case. The food is great and the store is very aesthetic. My issue is with the service. My friend arrived earlier than I did and wanted to wait for me to come before we put in an order and she mentioned feeling uncomfortable the whole time she waited for me due to the constant hovering and stares of the staff. When I had arrived, they immediately gave me water and a menu and stood there expectedly as if I would know what to order immediately after my butt touched the seat in the cafe. I appreciated the water though. I asked if they could give us a few minutes to decide and my friend and I made some idle conversation as we looked through the menu when she eventually stopped and said something along the lines of âletâs just pick something, theyâre staringâ. After picking what we wanted, I went up to the counter to order and pay and it seemed like they didnât want me to pay right away however I didnât think much of it at the time because I just wanted to pay and get back to catching up with my friend. We were waiting up on a third friend, and she ordered after she arrived but they didnât accept her payment and said theyâd collect it later. We ate our desserts and took some time to talk when I could see both of my friends getting visibly annoyed and uncomfortable. My back was towards the staff so I couldnât tell what was going on but my friend decided that it was time to pay and leave. When paying, the person at the register wouldnât let her leave unless she paid a tip. We have no problem tipping people, I understand how hard the service industry is, but the constant staring and hovering around the only brown girls sitting in your cafe isnât really a good way to get a tip. He told her that tip is mandatory for people that sit and eat at the cafe, since when was tip a mandatory thing!? If you want people to pay for your service then just start adding a service fee onto the bill instead of harassing people for a tip. Hope the $2 you harassed out of my friend was worth it. Iâm definitely not coming back and I will say I donât think this place is brown/darker poc friendly, because I did not see them behaving this way with the white men sitting behind us or the other light skin people walking...
Read moreI gave one star only because the food is great in this store but not the service. The attitude of the waitresses is so bad, rude and not respectful in this store. This was my favorite dessert store but not anymore.
I took my two kids with me today to go there order desserts and drinks for them. At the beginning, my kids wanted to take out so we ordered take out. Here is funny part for what happened in the store. I asked my two kids to go find seats to sit down and wait for me while I was making the payment. One of the store employees( a girl) came to my children to ask them if they ordered food take out they could not sit there with a big table. So I told them move to a small table, and I sat with them without a table after making the payment. Then another store employee( the cashier) came to us stating we could not sit there to occupy the chairs and the table as there was a large group coming into the store and the cashier needed the table to combine other tables for the group. So I said you could take the small table and we would sit here and wait for our order. But the girl said if it is take-out order, you could not sit here neither which meant we had to go outside to wait for our order. Excuse me!!!I ordered the food and I could not wait for my order while sitting down on a chair?
I did not argue so much with the waitress as I did not want to embarrass my kids in case they saw how I might look so bad to argue with someone in public. So I only requested a table that we changed mind we would dine in. We ate the desserts in the store. But my big child asked me why we had to changed to different tables three times in the store when we left.
I believe this would be the last time I went to this store. And I would like to say if you bring a child or order take-out from this store, this is not the right place for you. There are a lot of great store with wonderful desserts in Flushing. You might get bad experience from this store which destroy your mood.
Thumbs down for...

Very disappointing.
This dessert place used to be one of my favorite crepe cake shops. Their business has been grown over these years and expanded to many now locations. Flushing was one of their early openings and I was delighted that they still have it open after COVID. As a result, I bring my friends there from time to time and we enjoyed the time.
Sadly, my recent visit was not pleasant. Three reasons:
Food quality. We ordered the mango set (three desserts) but all the mango pieces were sour and hard. I understand that winter is not the best season for mango, but these were clearly not ripe and NOT ready to be served.
Strange Service. The waitress seemed eager to collect the menu from us, although it is not a busy day. After ordering the mango set, we asked for more time to decide, she appears unwilling and left us only one menu. Later when she brought the desserts, she again asked if she could take the menu... It is quite strange because apparently there is no new customers.
Awkward Tipping Situation. The waitress stood next to me and waited for my tipping. While this is not entirely her fault, it was quite annoying and added to the overall unpleasant experience.
Below is the old review:
Recommendation is everything LOL
Famous for their crepe cakes and mango desserts. The quality-price ratio is much higher than lady M.
They provide afternoon tea with delicate cups. I like the durian puff. My friend ordered a taro dessert and A9(which I don't remember the name, it has durians in it).
Recommend to try their desserts along with their tea as tea is unsweetened. Otherwise, it could be a bit sweet. Their other...
