I got a haircut and energy work with Lacy. It was my first time at Exhibit, but I had been to Lacy before when she was at another salon years ago. I went back to Lacy, because her haircuts are FIRE and I wanted to go back to looking hot. Side note, I was wearing my hair straight with Keratin for the last 4 years and while it looked good, I wanted my curls back. I didn't have any suggestions or preferences to share with her, and so I asked her to do what she thought would look best on me. She showed me some options on her phone and explained what she was going to do. And in the end, she got it 100% right! My curls are a 2c/3a situation and Lacy cut it in a way that made the curls looser and bigger, which I prefer. I love everything about my haircut, and even had an emotional moment (like with tears) in her chair after she was done because my hair was lookin' stunning and I felt FOXY... feelings that are very rare for me as a middle aged mom. Lacy was a total pleasure to talk to during the appointment and she is just so nice and genuine. She worked at a regular pace and didn't rush my appointment. It felt good. I felt like I was getting a spa treatment as she massage my head during the shampoo and conditioner. And she also offers energy work which I was very into and felt comforted and relaxed after it was done. I would definitely get the energy work done again and am already looking forward to my next appointment with Lacy. She is a TOTAL GEM!!!!
The salon itself is great! The other stylists were churning out gorgeous hairdos, as well. They were so welcoming when I came in and when I had my emotional moment they were not even phased... just let me carry on and gave me my space. They are so lovely! I really like this salon and can't...
Read moreI have loved this place and been a loving client for a couple of years. This week, i called the salon to see if we could start with my cut first and then do my color to gain time for everyone. They told me it was not possible. I insisted a bit and after a while i asked we could reschedule my appointment to another day so i could have the haircut first. I was told that my appt would be cancelled because of my rudeness/impoliteness and someone would call me back. I didn't like our interaction so i went to the salon in person and gave an formal apology to the person i had talked to on the phone after she reiterated that i was very rude to her. Later on, that night, i got a phone call and i was told that i was not wanted as a client anymore because of my bad manners. She also told me my husband was a rude individual because he had mentioned stories about COVID as an essential worker. I was furious that this place doesnt support our essential workers who put their life in danger everyday and doesnt understand their need to vent about how things are difficult for them/ need to release the pressure. I can't believe how I was brutally kicked out after all this time and how awful they made me feel. I've not been treated like a human being and highly regret feeling insulted for who I am. In those unsettling times, you would think that we're all supporting each other but it doesn't seem like Exhibit feels the same way. I hope the people who read my post understand that this place is not meant for everybody and...
Read moreThis review isn’t meant to bash the salon or its stylists, but to give an honest, detailed account of my QiQI treatment—especially since there aren’t many reviews on it. I’ll be covering the price, technique, and my results.
I had a QiQI treatment done on my 3C hair, and Jess was my stylist. She greeted me warmly, and we chatted throughout the appointment, which I appreciated. However, it quickly became clear that she was not fully comfortable or experienced with my hair type and texture. For reference, I’m a biracial woman with very thick, curly hair.
QiQI has an excellent reputation, and I truly believe my results could have been much better if the technique had been on point. The flat ironing stage—crucial for locking in the treatment—was not done close enough to my roots, it sort of seemed like she was uncomfortable even taking a brush to my hair... My hair also wasn’t properly sectioned, and the iron was pulled through in a way that caused unnecessary breakage. The passes were not slow and steady, rather just pulled through. These are important details that directly impact the outcome, especially for my hair type.
While my results are not awful, they are far from what I expected given the $450 price tag. For that cost, I should have walked out with my hair at its absolute best, and unfortunately, it fell short.
Again, my review is not left to bash or offend any of the lovely ladies at the salon, but to give a fair warning for women with similar textures to mine before spending over...
