This place opened a day before the quarantine. Just stumbled upon it today while on my rainy, dreary, walk exploring the now quiet neighborhood. I was drawn in by the little white lights outlining the windows - stuck around when I laughed at the name - last place on earth - with a hand written “still open” on the window. Saw board games arranged along the shelves on the side wall - and a cute coffee shop counter with a bakery selection of organic goods and more toys in the front/or side area also - depending on how you look at it. Bought an aloe wheatgrass drink - tastes way better than it sounds. Feels amazing to have a fresh drink again. Clearing my skin from scarf/mask induced irritation. The back room is a spot to play - the board games - once we’re all allowed to play together again - truly looking forward to it. I love interactive places and the owner is so incredibly kind and cool. Definitely help support this place during this time if you can - so fun to have a game spot for adults in the hood. -Kim✌️🌊

Stopped by for a breakfast pastry and iced coffee. This space is SO CUTE!! I can never find a cafe in brooklyn with space to sit. Last Place has a secret back room with tables to work without being bumped into by other customers. Not only is it a great spot to work, but they host local events and even an open mic night ❤️❤️❤️

We came twice in a day as a group of 7 on a Saturday. It was very comfortable inside, spacious and clean! Coffee was great- iced vanilla latte! The shop owner is so sweet! They also have cute knickknacks and games for sale- we got a bunch of super cute stickers! Price is affordable and reasonable $10/pp for 2 hours of play.

Just visited Last Place for the first time last week as a D&D beginner for one of their ladies nights! I attended with a friend. The space is welcoming, and we both had a lot of fun trying D&D for the first time and I would love to come back in the future.

However, there was a bit of a disappointing communication mixup during the booking process. I reached out online about my friend & I joining a beginner game. Whitney recommended that we try ladies night instead, since there was a new beginner friendly table starting soon. I asked if there would still be spots for both of us to join starting from session 1 due to a conflict with session 0 and was told absolutely! However, ~10 minutes after arriving at the table, we were told that they actually didn’t have room for us (but did have room for another new player) & we were moved over to another table that was mid-campaign. The DM of that table was fantastic at making us feel included, but it wasn’t exactly the first-time D&D experience I’d been hoping for. If it had been communicated earlier that there were no spots left at the table we thought we were joining, I would’ve happily waited for the opportunity to join a new table from session 0.

This might be because of user error on my part— maybe I sent my payment over too late & someone else had already booked the last spot. It seems like most coordination is done through their Discord server, so maybe email inquiries slip through the cracks sometimes. I wouldn’t fault them for taking a first come first served approach to this at all— it just would’ve been nice to have communicated that the table I thought I was joining was full before I showed up to play or, instead of somewhat unapologetically being moved to a different table, had been extended the option to come back for a...

I can't say enough good things about this Last Place on Earth! It truly is an amazing place in our community.

As someone who always wanted to try Dungeons and Dragons (DnD), I decided to attend their beginner night, and it was an absolute blast! The staff and fellow gamers were incredibly friendly and patient, making it easy for me to dive into the world of DnD.

Since that first visit, I've continued to come back regularly. Last Place has a wide selection of games, accessories, and knowledgeable staff who are always ready to assist and provide recommendations. They create a space where patrons can come together, learn, and have fun.

What sets this place apart is the sense of community they foster. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a complete beginner like me, you'll feel right at home. The shop hosts various events and game nights, allowing people to connect and share their passion.

I highly recommend Last Place to anyone looking for a place to indulge in their gaming interests. It's not just a store; it's a hub for the community to come together, learn, and create lasting memories. I can't wait to see what other exciting events and experiences they...

This place is amazing. It opened at the start of the pandemic and I have been looking to visit once business’s could open. I visited and was blown away. First, there is the coffee( yummy) and the food (also yummy). Then, there are the coffee, hot chocolate ( THEY SELL VEGAN HOT CHOCOLATE!!!!) and other goodies you can buy and take home. After that I saw the games. The many, many, many games that they sell and that you CAN ACTUALLY PLAY THERE ( for a fee) They have tables to play games at. You can pay to play and play test games before you buy them! This place is great for a date. It is great for a place to bring a few kids (contact and schedule so we can be social distanced). And lastly, it is a great place to hang out with friends. I can’t wait to take my wife and kids here. Reach out to them @lastplacebk on Instagram for details and to arrange play dates.

Update: I took my wife here for Valentine’s Day and we had a great time playing Splendor. If you play a game and want to buy it that day you get 15% off that day/session only. My wife and I are planning family dates, daughter dates, and us dates to go here. We are very much looking forward to our...
