DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE. They no show on their patients. I thought the previous reviews are scam if not written by themselves. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. I've lived in nyc for 10+ yrs and this is my first time writing a review because this was definitely the WORST EXPERIENCE i've ever had in the city. I was shocked by how unprofessional they could possibly be. I paid a $50 deposit to book my appointment and got there 10 min early but their door was locked. I waited in front of their door on the street and they texted me (not even bothered to take or give a call back to my calls) 10 mins after my appointment time while i was still waiting for them outside. They said they "have a DOOR ISSUE and need to reschedule my appointment later". I've heard of so many no show patients, but never heard of a doctor's no show and this is the place where you can see it. Incredible right? If you want to have this incredible experience, go for it. They have unbelievably poor and irresponsible patient management/customer service that will ruin your day. There are so many more better options in the city. FIND A DIFFERENT PLACE IF YOU CAN
update 2022. 11.21.
after posting this review, this is part of their "official" doctor's note I received for today's visit. I needed one because I had to take my morning off for this visit. It says they are sorry for not being able to "honor" my appointment this morning, and it goes: "We called a locksmith to remedy the issue, That is what was going on at the time of your appointment this morning. I understand this is not your concern"
again, very professional.
I'm not sure if this was to respond to my review, but at least I can tell they have a great specialty in sarcasm, unprofessionalism and no-shows for their patients. FIND A DIFFERENT...
Read moreI have regular health eyes checkup at this place. TLDR: horrible.
Too expensive frames, most are more than 350$, the cheapest is 200$ (tbh the quality is not great, and you can get it online for 1/10th of the cost they charge). My insurance only cover 160$ for the frame + lens, so it is not enough (need to pay extra 40$ for the frame only).
And they charge 160$ for basic lens (polycarbonate), no additional add-on yet. I got my pairs in LA and paid 100$ in total after insurance and have full options (including color change when under the sun and blue light coating…). As a result, I went home with only the prescription sent via email and can’t use what my insurance offered.
The cashier is unprofessional. He (young thin male) charged me 40$ in OTHERS field on the bill but when I asked the detail he said he made a mistake and wrote it down to 20$. Did not eye contact while talking to customer when I denied his 200$ surcharge for the glasses (already minus 160$ of insurance), very bad attitude. Thanks and not see you again.
Side note: 20$ is for checking the back of the eyes using some new tech (non-invasive). Using eye drops (dilated eye exam) does not cost and I did have this before. This is highlight in the form you filled before coming to the place.
The doctor is good and does care, though.
In general, I feel like being scammed. Never had second time...
Read moreThis place is the best! Loving my progressive frames with transition lenses. Now I can see up close, far away and in the sun, all with one super cool set of specs.
I’ve been a patient of Eyes on Second since they opened, and decided to give their sister store Eyes on Park a chance because I now live in Westchester and its a quick subway ride from grand central. Love the new location - beautifully renovated, same great selection, dr care and service from the staff up front. I came in for an eye exam, as it’s been a little bit since my last one. The exam was quick and easy as usual, and then I had fun with with Omayra, one of the lovely and knowledgeable sales staff trying on glasses. She was so helpful in helping me figure out what looked good on my face, and also what the trends are. A few days later I received a call from Sultana, in reception, to tell me that my glasses were ready. Since I wasn’t able to stop by, she had them shipped. Eyes on Park worked with my insurance with no problem, everything about my experience was very...
