Do not go to them for tca cross or any other kind of acne scar treatment. They are not trained in tca cross whatsoever ruined my skin. The esthetician they had me scheduled an appointment with for tca cross said she was the master esthetician. She has no knowledge of how to put tca cross this was my third time getting tca done I actually got to know about them because my previous esthetician raised thier prices alot so I came to them since I could no longer afford previous one. Boy did I make the wrong decision of coming here. My scars are so much more deeper now instead of getting shallower. The master esthetician didn't even tell me what kind of scars i had boxcar or ice pick or rolling. What kind of master esthetician who I assume have lots of years of experience are unable to tell their clients the type of scarring they have. She put too much on my right side scars where I didn't even had much scarring and missed some of my scars on my right side. She didn't put tca cross individually in the scars but instead like paint the scars in one line giving me lines of scarring. Destroying healthy skin around scars as well. My scars are so bad now than when I came to her. You are supposed to put very little in the ice pick scars not the boxcar scars because they are already wide and deep. She pressed the toothpick with tca in my scars. first two time I had tca my esthetician gently placed the acid with toothpick and not actually pressed it it the scar. They have no understanding of acne scars. Just want to make money. In my first consultation with her I told her I had 100% tca cross with mirconeedling done and didn't like the results so far. Even then she didn't said anything about not getting tca cross again or just getting microneedling. She said yeah ok we will do 50% now. If she really saw my skin and knew how scars treatment work she wouldn't have proceeded with tca cross and suggested something else. I have so much depression now looking at my skin. I can't sleep at night my mental health is so bad right now. Scars are so big and deeper now. I don't go out anymore. Wish I could get my money back from them. Be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had booked an appointment for laser hair removal. For context, I am a medical resident and have been treated under the supervision of a board-certified dermatologist. I am therefore well aware of the safety protocols and can clearly distinguish between abrasive and non-abrasive procedures. Unfortunately, my experience with the technician, Natasha, was extremely disappointing. She was dismissive and unprofessional, making remarks such as āshow me a paper or certificate from your doctorā and āresearch doesnāt suggest laser until a year after the medication youāre on.ā These statements were not only delivered in a flippant tone but also disregarded the fact that I have been safely undergoing laser treatments at my dermatologistās clinic and other reputed establishments without any issue. When I mentioned that I was from the medical field, instead of engaging respectfully, she appeared visibly uncomfortable and responded sarcastically with āhappy for you, Iām educated for six years too.ā Such behavior reflects a lack of professionalism, courtesy, and sensitivity that one would expect in a client-facing medical-aesthetic setting. This interaction left me disturbed and dissatisfied. I would strongly recommend that clients requesting appointments be scheduled with a different technician, as my experience with Natasha did not reflect the standards of professionalism and patient respect that I expect from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was shocked to learn that Face Glow NYC is offering Aerolase laser treatments without any licensed medical professionals on staff. In New York State, the use of medical-grade lasers like Aerolase for issues such as pigmentation, acne, scars, and skin rejuvenation is legally considered the practice of medicine. These treatments must be performed by or under the supervision of a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant.
Face Glow NYC is operated solely by estheticians with no medical director, doctor, NP, or PA overseeing treatments. While the staff may be friendly, this setup is not compliant with New York regulations and leaves patients unprotected if complications arise.
I feel misled and very disappointed to have discovered this after receiving treatments. Patients deserve transparency, proper medical oversight, and safe, legal care when investing in professional skincare services.
For anyone reading this, you deserve safe, compliant care. Aerolase can be wonderful for skin health, but in New York, itās supposed to be under medical supervision. If they donāt have that structure, weigh the risks and consider whether you might want to find a clinic that does have a medical director, so youāre...
