Fang Fang Hair Salon — Local services in New York

I’ve never had such a TERRIBLE experience at a Chinese hair salon before. Regret not checking reviews before randomly walking in so if you’re thinking of coming here, DON’T. Right when I sat down, she kept trying to sell me other services like hair treatments or dyeing my hair. Even though I rejected it the first few times, she continued asking me!! I have medium to long hair and wanted layers but she gave me some choppy looking haircut. Also, hair and soap kept falling onto my clothes during the haircut/ hair wash process because she didn’t provide me something to cover myself with?? It felt like she was rushing everything even though it wasn’t busy. She probably only spent like 10 mins...

Warning - Bait and Switch! My mother went for a perm which is CLEARLY priced at $50 on the window front of the store in large text along with the other service costs. Of course once they were done she was charged $80 and told that the window prices were old. That’s not an excuse and clearly unlawful. But my 78 year old diabetic mother did not want to fight as she was tired and wanted to get back to eat something after hours at the salon. I should have picked her up but here’s advice so the next person won’t be conned - confirm the price first since they have no compunction about...

So so so so bad! It was terrible. The barber's service was terrible. I asked the barber to repair my split hair. She didn't do it. I had no idea what was going on. She just cut my hair tail ... The worst experience was that she took my five-dollar tip when I checked out.
