Fox's of Forest Hills — Local services in New York

If I could leave negative five -5 stars I absolutely would. I have worked in the forest hills shopping area for over 10years and I have tried to shop at this boutique at least 3 times where I felt not only disregarded and racist behavior from the employees there. If you are a black women be aware that you will either be followed or not receive any positive or polite customer service. I haven’t been in this store in almost 5years since I promised myself I would never shop there again. I no longer work in forest hills but today I went with my aunt who bought a few dresses a few weeks ago from them because they left on the sensor tags. When she approached them about the inconvenience they actually apologized but she also had an item that was a gift but from another store that they also left the tag on, she asked if they could possibly assist her with that item as well and I suddenly heard another woman yell over the counter so EVERYONE in the store could hear “Do you have the receipt ?!, if you don’t have the receipt we can’t help you with that” (Clearly assuming that this maybe a stolen item so I guess they feel they are helping another business by not getting it off for her which is very disgusting considering they inconvenienced her leaving sensors on her items after she spent a lot of money with them). After that woman said that out loud embarrassing my aunt for the whole store to hear I noticed another employee following around my mother and I as we were browsing while my aunt handled her issue. I felt the same energy I felt 5 years ago , I immediately told my mother and aunt to stop browsing and let’s go because it’s very clear your money is not good here. I DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS ! AND THE WOMAN OF COLOR THAT HAS OR POSSIBLY CONSIDERING TO SHOP HERE YOU DEFINITELY SHOULD NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ANYWHERE YOU ARE NOT WANTED AND THIS IS JUST REFERENCE TO MY REVIEW AND MANY OTHERS AS WELL. I bought clothes yesterday and When I come home, I found the security plastic was still on my cloth. I was visiting from Brooklyn, but I have to go back forest hills queens again !!! to take off !!!! I go back forest hills store to tell them , they forgot to take off security plastic , but they attitude was worst I never see !! They said I have to show the receipt, like I steel their clothe !! I was so so upset !! Their mistake to took off plastic security and I have to go back store all way from Brooklyn to forest hills, they never said SORRY ! I would not never return...

Under the leadership of their White ethnic leadership and at the participation of their colorful staff, this store does target their Black shoppers. Any Black women I know that has shopped there, has had to confront the staff about being profiled. One guard even made it clear to a friend of mine that the assistant manager demanded he watch her.
