This has been the most frustrating, time-wasting, and unprofessional experience I’ve ever had with a framing company.
I placed my order on November 23rd, and it was supposedly ready for pick-up by November 27th. When I arrived at the store, I immediately noticed a big piece of glue sticking out from the artwork - completely unacceptable for a professional framing service. I had to return it for them to fix this issue.
On December 12th, I was notified that my frame was ready again. I made another trip to the store, only to find the same glue still stuck to my artwork, plus a brand-new scratch on the glass. They tried to buff it out with a special spray, but it was still visible. So, the frame had to be sent back - again.
Then, on January 20th, I received a call from the store admitting that my artwork had been returned multiple times, and they had just now realized what the issue was. Their studio team had apparently misunderstood what needed to be fixed this entire time. I was promised that this time, it would be handled with high priority and extra care.
Fast forward to February 21st, and I was told that my frame was finally ready. After three months of back-and-forth, I made yet another trip to the store. When they opened the box, I found a massive scratch on the frame itself and damage to the side of the frame. So after all their empty promises about "extra care," nothing had improved. The frame had to be sent back - again.
At this point, I have no idea why they even bothered calling me if they weren’t going to check the quality of their work before having me come in. Their claims about “high priority” and “extra care” are absolute nonsense.
I strongly advise anyone considering Framebridge to find another company unless you enjoy wasting months of your time dealing with incompetence, poor quality control, and empty promises. If this is how they operate, I can’t see them staying in business much longer.
I wish I had taken more photos to document all the damage, but I did manage to capture one from the last time. If you're thinking about using Framebridge - save yourself the frustration and go...
Read moreMy review is based upon having to return my artwork twice (original pieces, with very high sentimental value). I will update the review once Framebridge returns my piece for the 3rd time and is dependent on how customer service deals with the issue. My wife selected Framebridge over a competitor in the trust that Framebridge would be the better bet, but... We handed over our original pieces to be framed, they were turned around very quickly ~5 days.
The frame arrived but with the artworks wonky. My wife took the frame back to be rectified, of course we already were disappointed to have to return. The staff in the store recognized immediately that there was an issue and committed to fox the issue for us. The frame arrived again very quickly ~4/5 days, but again there was a new issue. This time the prints had been switched around, despite us receiving a picture via email of the prints the right way round the day before.
Off we went back to the store to return for the 2nd time, to be told they will fix it and make sure to check in the store it's correct first before sending it out to us. Be aware that the policy of Framebridge is to be able to fix your piece 3 times before they discuss compensation with you. All the while original art pieces are being handled multiple times by a studio which seems to be priding itself on speed rather than accuracy.
We agree with the other 1* reviews in that if you are sending original pieces, be aware it may be handled multiple times and with possibility of inaccurate delivered product. Probably best to proceed by de copies If you can.
We will update the review once we have been through customer service...
Read moreI read So many mixed or bad reviews of Framebridge so I came in concerned and I have to say- I am BEYOND thrilled with their work. The reason I came in despite mixed reviews is because of the refreshingly young and hip frame styles they offer.
I walked into their 73rd/3rd ave branch and my assistant was so nice. She was attuned to my needs and taste, promptly brought out samples and created a computer mock up. She complimented my art. I paid 150 dollars. I have to say I’ve had 3 things framed Recently and this is the cheapest and best one thus far. She said it’d take up to 4 weeks. After 1.5 weeks I got an email that it’s ready! The finished framed work looks amazing. The only fine-schmecker detail is there are a few pieces of dust inside the “glass” (they use acrylic- I was prepped for this from reading reviews). I asked if they could remove it and they said yes but they’d have to ship it back to their studio. So I took it as is. All in all very thrilled and have a gorgeously colored, youthful, beautiful frame. Great job and...
