Framebridge — Local services in New York

Despicable. The people working at this location are kind and very willing to help you--this review is not reflective of them. The actual framing service is despicable! Do not bring your art to any Framebridge. I brought a painting into the store to be framed. The canvas has a white border and I asked for that to be shown and selected the frame color knowing the white would be shown. No matting was needed. The studio decided to wrap the canvas despite the preview of the frame showing the white borders and having no instruction to do so. What is the point of communicating in store what you want, if the people who handle the art disregard what you want and what the store team tells them? The painting was sent back to the Art Care team. Two weeks after returning the painting for them to fix it, I email them asking for an update and a projected timeline. The store manager could only confirm the they received it, but could not estimate a timeline. A week later I received an email that my frame was ready for pick up. There are faint marks on the white border indicating creases that have been flattened and some of the white paint has been scratched off the canvas. Their only suggestion was to add a mat. Framebridge, located on the Upper West Side (right next to The Strand), is incredible. I'm so thankful Framebridge opened a store in this neighborhood! I worked with Carlton to get a bunch of items framed, including two diplomas, and the in-store process was seamless. Carlton & the team explained things step-by-step, so it was clear what my items would look like with the framing I chose and where things would be sent to be processed before shipping back to me. I felt heard as I was describing my vision for my items - Carlton captured exactly what I needed (and added his great recommendations for accents + additional framing techniques, which made everything appear so lovely).

My items shipped back to me exactly as outlined, in a timely manner! I haven't unwrapped each piece from the bubbled packaging quite yet, but I'm so excited to get all items to my office & finally hung-up on my walls! :-) Thank you,...

We LOVE our gallery wall of photos from our engagement/proposal trip. We first did the gallery wall service online but were having a hard time picturing the renderings. What was really great was that we were able to go in to the Framebridge store and play around with frames some more. Michael at the store was a huge help with this and was incredible at helping us to picture things and following up with measurements and renderings. We could never have finished the project without his help and have him to thank for being able to create something we love so much!!
