While my stylist was nice and talkative, she was definitely NOT able to deliver the haircut I wanted. I showed her a video of the cut I wanted (see attached screenshot) and the cut she gave me (next photo) was far from what I asked for. Rosa cut my face framing layers wayyy too short and not in the style I wanted, despite her making comments at the start of my appointment about other stylists who cut their clients hair way too short and promised to keep my length, but then she ended up doing the same exact thing to me! I definitely do not think this is worth a $150 haircut. Itâs going to take me months to grow my hair out to the length I want. From the beginning, I HAD the length available to achieve the cut I wanted, which Rosa was unable to do. On top of that, they donât even perform the Brazilian Blowout treatment correctly! After they applied the product, they blow dried my hair straight and then flat ironed it. After that, they were supposed to rinse out the product immediately and then apply a bonding spray and finish styling which they completely skipped. I called the official Brazilian Blowout company to confirm this and they sent me a PDF of all the steps in their Brazilian Blowout process (please see attached.) After I explained to them what Gabriel Shimunovâs hair salon did instead, she was shocked that they would let me leave the salon in the middle of my treatment (literally) without finishing it and advised me to rinse immediately in the shower myself rather than leave the product in my hair for 3 days like the salon suggested I do, which is dangerous to myself, babies or pets when I have literal formaldehyde unrinsed in my hair for 3 days straight! That comment came straight from the Brazilian Blowout company themselves. This also couldâve resulted in the BB treatment not lasting as long and leaving my hair with a lot of buildup, heaviness and greasiness. For the price you pay at this salon, I really expected better quality service which I did not receive in EITHER of the treatments I got. Look...
Read moreAWFUL! My mom and I went to get our hair and makeup done for a wedding . My mom was fine but she has different hair and makeup that works for her than me. They saw that I had curly hair and ASSUMED without asking or before I could say anything started straightening it! I asked if they could curl it and try used the straightener to add a single wave to each side in the front. I couldnât ask them to redo it or change because we were on a time crunch. And now my curly hair is ruined and wonât be back to normal for at least a week if I am lucky.
I was getting my makeup done and my mom who went before me had HORRIBLE caked on layers upon layers of foundation and her eyeshadow (if you can all it that) was the same color as her eye lids.
I showed her a popular Chinese makeup style that is on tik tok and asked for light foundation. Apparently light foundation is basically cement levels of âlightâ. She did not listen to my color requests and said that I shouldnât outshine the bride. When the bride explicitly gave consent for that style of makeup. I told her I hate neutrals and she continued to use them. The glitter was not even on my crease like in the photo and accused me of not following the picture. I eventually pushed her to do the pinks and fix the glitter which I guess means no glitter to her. I was excited for the lip because I love the popular red lip tint, instead she brought out thick lipstick. Nothing could be changed because we were late so I looked HORRIBLE for the WEDDING!
If you cannnot work with curly hair SAY THAT. If you do not know how to do a certain make up style SAY THAT.
If you have straight hair that isnât very thick and donât want anything too far away from the standard and you want early 2010 makeup this is the place to go. But if you want anything outside of the standard you are better doing it...
Read moreSince my stylist of 20 years retired in 2005, I've been hopping around in search for the best stylists for my straight hair. After seeing many different stylists as long as two years straight and not really loving it that much, my search continued. More than a year and half ago I decided to do research on great hair cutters. I came across Gabriel's reviews. They were all excellent. I told many ladies at work about his talents but yet I was afraid to go to him thinking I may be the only one who doesn't like the cut. because I'm very particular. Since I need a haircut every 8 weeks to maintain my style, I decided to try two new salons first & saw two different stylists over the past 1 1/2 years. I still wasn't satisfied. I actually made two appointments with Gabriel and cancelled. Finally, I called him again and said I'm ready for haircut with you. He is talented, an artist who transformed my boring bob into an attractive layer cut. My husband said, "did you get a haircut? It's nice". My husband over the years says has only said, "did you get a haircut?" Never adding, "it's nice". I always had to ask him if he liked it. He never smiled like he did with this cut. People at work complimented the cut. They were like, "wow". I feel young and hip with this cut. I have thick, medium density straight hair and Gabriel new how to give my hair volume. Gabriel gives individualized attention. Worth the money. The salon is clean, bright, playing soothing music and there's a TV screen showing a fashion show while you wait. I...
