GoGo Skating 冰Go — Local services in New York

This is a very unsafe and poorly run Rink. I’ve skated at many roller rinks across the country and this rink definitely does not adhere to the same safety standards.

While we were skating there the “skate guard” who was supposed to be monitoring safety was recording a live video on his phone, skating in a fast, hazardous manner, around the rink. I reported this negligence to the management but they did not care.

There was a different man speed skating in the opposite direction creating another hazardous condition. He was going in the opposite direction, weaving quickly around the slower skaters. He was responsible for making one of them fall. I also reported this to management but they stated this hazardous behavior was allowed.

Then a woman hurt ankle. She could not walk and needed an ambulance. The management basically ignored her. Ultimately her friends carried her out of the rink with no help from the management.

The street the rink is on is desolate and totally filthy with garbage piled everywhere.

Visited earlier this month when it wasn't crowded. The people working here are so nice! It was my first time skating and I struggled a lot alone. When I started sliding backwards, the two "skate guards" grabbed me, and one of them held my hand for two whole laps, constantly giving me advice. Visited the location with my family, we had such a great time! We loved it and are super excited to finally have a rollerblading rink near us.
