Helen Nail Spa — Local services in New York

Prices are reasonable and the place is clean, but this is the second time I've gotten a UV gel manicure that began chipping within days. It's been exactly 1 week today and I have 4 small chips across my manicure. My manicurist was also okay with completing the manicure with small bumps and dents even after looking at it. I had to ask her to fix it at the end or I don't think she would have. She scoffed at my idea for nails but it wasn't the norm, which made me feel uncomfortable. Everything else is good, but I feel they have poor quality uv gel polishes if they are chipping...

Called ahead for a gel manicure and they could take me in 15 minutes. The reviews were good so I felt ok to ask for a design.

$5 design for 2 nails - sounds good. I a showed my inspo pic and it took them about 5 tries before they switched technicians. Didn’t love how it came out, but it was cool. The design i asked for wasn’t complicated - it was circles. I’d go back for sure but just wouldn’t ask for any design since it seemed kind of hard for them.

I almost don’t want to add another great review in case Helen Nail Spa gets so popular I won’t be able to get an appointment!

This salon is quiet, clean, professional and hospitable.

Helen consistently does any amazing job with my acrylic nails, is fast and personable.
