Those of you of Hispanic ethnicity beware. I went there today Sunday, October 9th at 12:15 pm with my friend, her mother and daughter (9 years old) and we were watched the entire time we were there. We didn't notice the other individuals who were there (whites) being watched. My friend made a call to speak with the manager to account for this situation, was told they weren't available so my friend proceeded to tell the individual on the phone and was rudely told she misinterpreted the situation. Mind you all, this store is not a large place so you can't make it up when I say being pursued was obvious. If, everytime you turn around and one of the two people that man the store is where you are, your being followed. My friend got upset disrespected by that employee, proceeded to let her know how incorrect and rude she was so the individual hung up the phone. WE, were not born yesterday. We know the signs. From T-shirts I could find in piles of garbage on the street costing $40, to a torn apart, faux Atlanta Hawks jersey, riddled with stains costing double that, this L-train represents the worst that self-aggrandizing Brooklyn establishments are resorting to.
Don’t get me wrong, some L-trains slap, and have retained a semblance of the ritual we connotate with “shopping for vintage” but this location crosses the literal and proverbial line of accessible consumer goods to predatory, capitalist poaching by gentrified...
Read moreI love literally all vintage clothing stores, there's something awesomely fashionable, cool, and obviously trending about the vintage style and fashion. I am especially a huge fan of throwback MLB (Major League Baseball) sports Jerseys (uniforms), especially those of the Washington Senators, Boston Braves, Montreal Expos, California Angels, Tampa Bay Rays, New York Giants and especially the beautiful hometown Brooklyn Dodgers. I would even expect maybe this place to have minor league baseball jerseys from the Mets former Triple A affiliate the Las Vegas 51s. Also would expect them OBVIOUSLY to have vintage memorialbelia from the L train locations and stops. Also would expect the to have throwback NBA Jersey especially Seattle Supersonics, Vancouver Grizzles, Charolate Hornets Jerseys from the early and mid 90s as well as NFL teams like the...
