Haab — Restaurant in New York

This is a restaurant that has to be checked out frequently, I didn't noticed that they have a changing menu. As I walked by last night, I saw the sign on the sidewalk listing some food. I went inside and asked what it was. I chose to try the Mexican Shrimp Primavera, is a pasta with grilled vegetables. This special is only served till Sunday. From experience restaurants with changing menu create delicious meals.

The pasta was excellent, right on the spot with a different flavor and lots of extra sauce in it. The sauce was amazing, it had that spicy hot flavor from the Mexican hot green peppers, first time I had pasta with hot green peppers in it, it tasted good ! The only thing that was missing in the dish was a side of roasted bread, they don't even make garlic bread here. I asked for the dish to be served in a to go dish, I thought I wasn't gonna eat it all, surprise to me, the dish was soooooo frEkEn good, that I had to eat it all.

I had the Chicharron Tacos and it was also sooo delicious a seasonal item. This restaurant is well worthy checking out weekly because the changing menu dishes are Awesome ! ...

DON'T EAT HERE! one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I found a very sharp piece of metal in my food when I ordered take out last week. While I was eating my enchiladas, I bit down on something hard and it turned out to be a VERY sharp, jagged piece of metal.

I called to tell the staff what happened and walked back to the restaurant with the uneaten dish and the found metal. I asked for the dish to be refunded. The staff was very polite and said it would be refunded through the online ordering platform. Now it has been almost a week and after several emails back and forth with the restaurant and the ordering platform, I still don't have a credit to my account.

This type of thing shouldn't happen but I understand that sometimes it still does. The issue isn't so much the metal in my food as it is the struggle to receive a refund for the dish in question. The food is mediocre and expensive besides. I can only hope they...

Extreme food poisoning:

A day before yesterday, for the first time, went to get takeout in this place 15 minutes before they closed up. Trusted 4.5 rating…. It was their “Burrito Bowl with Shrimp”

Yesterday morning, started feeling nauseous. Result: Got one of the worst food poisoning of my life. Whole spectrum. The whole day and night spent next to the bathroom. Severe sickness similar to one I’ve got over 5 years ago in Thailand.

I want to be clear and honest: I didn’t eat anything besides this food. And I’m a pretty strong person to digest almost anything. No allergies or restrictions. If it could be someone more sensitive - could end up in an emergency!

This is my first negative review: I just could not ignore what happened to me. Still recovering… and feeling weak.

I care about other people. Please be careful with this place!...
