I came here Thursday after work because I was having really bad back spasms anyone whoās experienced one knows the pain is no joke. I go to a lady that works in Yonkers but she wasnāt picking up her phone so a quick google search brought me here. I was scared and in pain but the lady I got was very nice and accommodating even helped me undress as I was in so much pain I forgot that was part of a massage requirement. I didnāt have to tell her where it hurt I felt her focusing on the issue. I left feeling a big relief usually Iām unable to walk much when my back spasms but this time I managed to get on the bus and go home at home I struggled a bit but it was all bearable compared to other times so I went back the next day on Friday. This time a gentleman gave me my massage but all the same very professional again I didnāt have to tell him where it hurt but he focused on the issue and I felt so relieved again . They ask you if you want more time at the end and I was tempted because as others have mentioned prices are super reasonable but an hour was good for me . Its Sunday and I donāt have pain anymore thatās the fastest Iāve gotten rid of a spasm and I didnāt even have to go to the hospital to get a shot. Would highly recommend this place and I plan on being a regular at least once a month. Theyāre great and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been to several chinese massage places in nyc and what I enjoy most is their full body and strong deep tissue-like thorough massages, but this place misses the mark entirely. Was looking for a new place closer to where I live since my regular spots no longer had the same employees.
I requested a 90 minute (60 min body, 30 feet). An older lady attended me, twice i requested stronger pressure and it was still too soft. Rubbing against the skin with and occasionally digging deep into the muscle is not very good. I usually get my arms/hands, legs, and full body in major muscle areas done with strong pressure in other chinese spots iāve been to in manhattan, but they only did my back/lower legs and additional feet reflexology which was separate. My head, neck and arms were stiff and I left no better than when I got there.
The bill was $74 and I was going to give a $10 tip even though i wasnāt satisfied with the massage and the front desk guy was like āthat tip is too low, we work hard here you should give moreā really? a tip is a curtesy not a requirement so that as a turn off. Not...
Best $40 spent ā I felt so relaxed I almost drooled. I did the 30-minute session for $30, plus tip. Totally worth it, I loved it.
For the people worried about too much buttocks massaging: Tui-Na massage can sometimes involve the buttocks/hip area. because: A lot of lower back pain is actually connected to the glute muscles, sacrum, and hip joints. When the glutes are tight, they pull on the lower back. Working that area helps release pressure and restore alignment. Tui-Na isnāt just about relaxation; itās therapeutic, so the practitioner may use pressing, kneading, or rolling on the hips and buttocks to treat back pain.
I told them no oil because, I donāt feel comfortable exposing my skin to a random massage therapist even though is normal for most. I had long sleeves and they still used draping/towels in place...
