Let me start by saying the employees/artists that work here are phenomenal, kind, considerate, patient, and extremely attentive. However, this 1 star review cannot be helped as it is the owner who is the issue.

I came here with a group of 8 friends since 1130am with everyone getting tattoos. One of my friends had an appointment booked with the owner for 3 p.m. He wasn't seen until 4pm because she was backed up, which is fine and completely understandable, and we weren't in a rush.

The owner made clear before that she doesn't show the final sketch until the day of. However, every time he wanted to make an adjustment, she was noticeably annoyed. But that's expected of a tattoo that's gonna be on you for years, and you want to make sure you're 100% happy with the design and placement.

After she was finished with his tattoo, the rest of my friends were still getting theirs, and her demeanor and attitude made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.

Then, the final nail in the coffin is that I noticed on their employee board they have 4 steps to follow before closing. Turn off the front lights Turn off the neon site on the window Turn off bathroom lights Leave the back light on

They closed at 730pm the day we went. At around 655pm the owner turned off all the front lights in the front waiting area where me and all my friends were sitting and left us in pretty much darkness while she went and sat in the back on her phone.

Fortunately, one of the amazing tattoos artists that took care of 3 of my friends had the decency to tell the owner to turn the lights back on for us since we're still here waiting on our final friend to get their tattoo. The owner came back in silence to turn on the lights and then went back to her seat in silence.

It's a real shame because all the other artists who work here are incredibly talented and amazing to work with. We spent a combined roughly $2000 on all our tattoos as well for us to be treated with unreasonable rudeness. We would love to work with these amazing artists anywhere else, but unfortunately, because of the owners attitude and treatment, we would not come back here or recommend anyone else come here either. The owner certainly ruined it for us, and as the face of the business, I would not recommend...

I want to start by saying that the work and the quality of the tattoos are fantastic. I’ve had three tattoos done by Fan Wu (the owner) and all of them look flawless, but unfortunately my latest experience in her new Bushwick studio was so uncomfortable that I feel the need to post this here to warn others thinking of booking. The studio is very fun and bright and full of cool figures and anime decor, but the contrast of that with the attitude of Fan was so jarring and definitely not ideal if you are neuro-divergent or easily overstimulated. I got two pieces done in one session as I was only visiting. The first one went great. The problems came with the second tattoo. I started to have doubts about the placement and size once I saw the stencil, and after asking her to move it, she became visibly annoyed and stopped speaking to me all together even though I was extremely polite and apologetic. She was so dismissive that I genuinely wanted to cry. For context, I have over 30 tattoos and have never ever gotten that kind of reaction over redoing the stencil. When I finally decided I didn’t want to do it at all, she said I would still have to pay in full. I then had to decide if I was going to drop $1,000 or get a tattoo I didn’t want. She then finally agreed to the size and placement I wanted, and I got the tattoo done. I love her work and really want to get more anime tattoos from Fan, but this was such an uncomfortable experience I don’t think I could ever book...

Amazing tattoo experience! I just did my first tattoo in my life with the owner here (Fan). The result turned out way much better than what I expected. Most of important, the vibe there is chill and friendly so it makes it less uneasy for me. (I thought it would be) Styles here are specialized in anime and manga, which is so cool to see.

Location is lit too. I live in bushwick and the store is just right off L train Morgan Avenue stop. And there’s so many great bars and restaurants around. So I just went there after my work , got food and went home.

And Fan’s work is amazing too! I’m pretty impressed by the quality of work, seeing such precise and clean lines of the work. Also Fan is attentive and talented. I quite enjoyed the process of working with her on the final sketch. She really interpreted my ideas really well and turned them around visually.

I’m already considering getting another tattoo. Definitely coming back to Ink Me Alley! Fan, Thank...
