Celebrating Valentine's Day at Wooga in NYC with friends turned out to be an extraordinary experience that exceeded all expectations. Right from the moment we stepped into this newly opened establishment, we were greeted by an ambiance that perfectly blends modern sophistication with the warmth of a high-end steakhouse. It's rare to find a place in Midtown that instantly feels like a go-to spot, but Wooga has managed to fill that void with style and grace.
The star of the night was undoubtedly the Tomahawk steak - a dish that showcased the high-quality ingredients Wooga prides itself on. Cooked to perfection, it was not just a meal; it was a culinary masterpiece that left us all in awe. Accompanying this were selections from their old vintage wine list, which featured bottles priced at $75, $100, and $150, ranging from the years 1980 to 2000. In today's market, finding such gems at these prices is nothing short of a miracle.
Wooga's beer list was another highlight of the evening, offering a cool, curated selection that complements the menu perfectly. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or a beer enthusiast, this place has something to excite your palate.
The staff at Wooga deserves a special mention for their professionalism and kindness. They contributed significantly to the joyous atmosphere, making our dining experience even more memorable. The modern, high-end decor, combined with the pristine cleanliness of a newly opened venue, added to the overall high-quality experience.
Perhaps most impressive was the reasonable pricing of both food and beverages. It's a breath of fresh air to enjoy such an exceptional dining experience at prices that don't break the bank. Wooga has set a new standard for what a midtown restaurant can offer - quality, ambiance, and value.
Wooga has quickly become my new favorite spot in Midtown, a place I can visit without a second thought. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, eager to indulge in another fantastic evening. A heartfelt thank you to Wooga for a remarkable Valentine's Day celebration. Your dedication to quality and customer satisfaction has not...
Read moreBe wary of the service. Waited 45 minutes for some wings and just ended up leaving.
I came here with a few friends (3 of us) on a Wednesday afternoon and we were quite hungry as well as excited to try the food. The server we had did not put in all of our orders or forgot and we only managed to get one of our orders. We asked our server a few times where our order was, but it felt like we were being a nuisance and she was not very enthusiastic to help us, simply telling us the kitchen was busy and a little backed up, which we understood. However, we noticed that the group next to us, who ordered one of the same things as us (and ordered after us) received their order while we still did not get ours. After 45 minutes or so of trying to ask our order was, we decided to just leave to someplace else since we were still very hungry and not willing to wait any longer. We called over another waitress, asked her to just cancel the rest of our order (if it was even put in) and give us the bill so we could leave to somewhere else. This lady was an angel compared to the server we had, and apologized on her colleague’s behalf, which we felt bad for since it was not her fault. I hope I just came on a bad day and had a bad experience, but I can’t recommend this place just because of this experience. I am still frustrated the original server we had did not apologize for her mistake and another colleague had to apologize upon her behalf. I really wished we remembered the name of the lady who helped us because she deserves a raise. I’m sure it wasn’t fun for her to clean up someone else’s mistake and apologize for it when it...

The quirky name of this place caught our eye as we were strolling during a family visit to NYC, enticing us to peruse the menu.
This place had a varied and tasty menu. We started with the steak tartare, which differed from the classic dish, in that the beef was more coarsely ground, and it was served with house made rice crisps instead of toast points. The cheese dubokki was amazing - rice cakes, fish cakes, dumplings and calamari simmered in a cheesy-spicy sauce. My wife enjoyed the blue cheese salad wedge, which was very large and well-presented.
For mains we had the skirt steak, the spicy pork belly, and the ribeye - all of which were generous portions and well prepared.
Our server Kate was very knowledgeable and attentive - she was quick to catch and correct the omission of the spicy sauce on the pork belly, and ably described all of the side dishes and condiments that accompanied the meals. For our son, she recommended a yuzu mocktail, which was delicious. She coordinated the actions of her team of servers, ensuring we did not want for anything. She was an absolute gem.
The atmosphere was very enjoyable - very relaxed and intimate.
The quality of the food was top notch, the portions generous, and the prices were very reasonable.
Definitely the highlight of our dining...
