TLDR: For the people looking for a quick review and just need to know whether Jenny is a great photographer, AKA the men, look no further. Jenny is professional, easy to work with, extremely talented, and was the best vendor we had for our wedding. Book her immediately.

For everyone else, I'll try to be as thorough, yet not too exhaustive in this review.

My wife and I hired Jenny Fu as our engagement and wedding photographer. Jenny was the easiest vendor to book because we had total confidence in her abilities. We looked online and saw her website, and we liked that she has an emphasis on editorial photography. After a couple of calls and the exchange of a few emails, we planned to meet in San Francisco for our engagement shoot and again in Houston for our wedding.

Professionalism: Jenny is very prompt with her messaging and professional overall. There is so much to plan when planning for a wedding, and Jenny made it as easy as possible. She asked us for what we envisioned and offered suggestions we never would have thought of. Everything from that point on went incredibly smoothly. An example of this would be her preparation prior to our engagement sessions. Jenny did plenty of research and mapped out 3 amazing places for us to have our pictures taken, and they all turned out beautifully. She also has a very warm and welcoming personality. We've been told from our friends and family that they love her because of how engaging and fun she made the photo sessions at the wedding. My sister and her fiance have even booked Jenny as her wedding photographer as well because she did such a great job!

Working with Jenny: Engagement and wedding pictures are not your average pictures. The poses, different angles, etc. were intense at first, but Jenny makes that whole process a breeze. She is always laughing and having fun, and as a result, definitely put us at ease. The turnaround time for the engagement and wedding photos were very quick considering how much work is required afterwards. We were so surprised how much time she puts in to her work to ensure that not only they look great, but also they come back in a timely manner. On top of all that, Jenny kept us in the loop with the progress of the photos every step of the way.

Quality of Work: As seen in her portfolio, she does an amazing job with pulling out the colors, which are more dramatic and beautiful. The angles of shots and different types of ideas she had were great, and we were completely blown away from how she captured every special moment shared between us. Jenny is incredibly thorough when it comes to planning, and she knew exactly what we wanted after showing her a few sample pictures.

I honestly could seriously write a novel about how incredible Jenny and her work is! Her supreme talent for photography is beyond compare. I saw one of her editorial photo posted on the venue we chose for our wedding, I immediately looked up her portfolio and boy, me and my now husband instantly fell in love with her work. She has that perfect blend of cinematic, authentic, elegant and editorial style. We didn’t bother to look any further; we are blessed and lucky that she was available for our big day. Jenny balances professionalism with real human connection, very prompt with email responses despite our gazillion questions. I truly appreciate how flexible she is with timeline changes and worked smoothly with our other vendors. On the day of our wedding, the moment she arrived at my hotel room she gave me a big hug and congratulations then started working by taking detail photos of my ring, shoes etc while im finishing my make up, her creativity just amazed me nonstop. I decided not to have any BM or MOH and Jenny has been very helpful by making sure we get to the venue on time, holding my veil and even hailed a NY taxi for us! That instant connection you feel like you’ve been friends for years?!. Her warm personality helped us a lot that we felt surprisingly comfortable knowing my husband and I are very awkward in front of camera. She instantly knew what to do and guided us smoothly throughout the day and night. Her ideas are beyond imaginable, one of our favorite shots was after the ceremony, shots were taken spontaneously as we walk at the streets of Manhattan to Flat Iron building, crowd are constantly congratulating us! We felt like a celebrity at that moment and Jenny captured all of those beautifully, the best part is, we didn’t even know our photos are being taken half of the time! Jenny knows how to capture precious moments of our big day from ceremony to reception , we are extremely thrilled and happy with the end result. She delivered our photos earlier than expected. I cant stop looking at each photos , we are DEEPLY IN LOVE with all of it and couldn’t decide which one to choose for photo album! They are all BREATHTAKING! We had the greatest pleasure of having Jenny be our photographer for our City Hall event and our special Wedding day! Jenny Fu knows her craft and she is extremely likable! You instantly feel comforted and confident with her around and she goes above and beyond to make sure she is present for all those moments you want captured and even candid moments that you did not think of. She has a great disposition of character and takes her job very seriously! There are only so many places a photographer can be but Jenny makes it happen!

City hall was very special and a great way for us to meet Jenny and get a sense of her direction and how it is to be photographed with your loved one in general! This was good practice for us to see how we pose, what Jenny asks from us which was beyond natural and comfortable, and to see the results of her amazing camera skills. Our City Hall session was raining and anyone couple might feel upset about that, however, I am glad it did! Jenny was assuring us during the process that they will come out great and they most certainly did!

After city hall, we felt even better about having such a talent on our wedding day. We had three ceremonies that day (Indian, Chinese tea and America ceremonies) and I had no idea how Jenny was able to capture it all so quickly and so professionally! I didn't even notice her there most of the time. It was such a busy day, we were strapped for time and in my stressful moment of not having enough time to take photos with direct family, Jenny put my mind at ease and was able to get me the exact group shots I wanted plus more!

There isn't enough space here for me to go on and on about how incredible Jenny was to us and still is since we are in the process of getting big framed prints from her of city hall and wedding day.

If you get Jenny Fu as your photographer, you are in GREAT hands and may I say LUCKY! You will not be disappointed and you can just check off that mark for securing a spectacular photographer!
