I was a client of this place for years. My company also recommended it to clients / out of town clients.
Today, I booked a mani / pedi - the same that I book all the years before - and there was never a complaint from my end. I always tipped 30% as I appreciated the work.
Today, I started with a pedicure. The appointment felt extremely rushed. Not at all what I experienced in the past. 1/2 way into the appointment, it started to stress me out and also certain works on my nails hurt. Again - very rushed !
When I was seated for the manicure, I ask the receptionist to come over. I asked her if the company booked me a speedy mani / pedi as I never felt that rushed in the past. I also said that I insist that my manicure will not be rushed. She insisted that my complaint is baseless as I am getting a regular mani / pedi. When I told her that this is not the case and that I think they are rushing my appointment, she got upset.
I also said that I will be very unpleasant if I get stressed out more with a rushed manicure.
She then left and went into the basement.
Then the lady who did my pedicure came and started to cut a few nails, but she was upset and was shaking and I told her to stop. She then said someone else should do my manicure and left.
Then the owner showed up and I explained what happened.
After all these years going there I got kicked out by him for getting upset and for expressing my frustration. He told me his receptionist is crying and wants to quit. I worked at receptions when I was in my 20s - and I had to deal with upset clients and had to find solutions.
To kick me out is a low move - instead of dealing with the issue.
I paid the pedicure - left the usual 30% tip.
I live in New York since 1988. I never had this happen to me but it was for sure a very interesting experience.

I came here on a Thursday late afternoon with a friend. The space is very nice/ inviting. The receptionist was great as well. I liked that the space felt super calm as opposed to chaotic. With that said, the mani pedi wasnât worth the price simply because it was nothing special from what I wouldâve gotten at a spot that was half the price (I got gel mani and basic pedicure). I give it 3 stars because I really liked the vibe however, I probably wonât go back due to the insane price for nothing special quality. I agree with the other reviews that the quality doesnât match the price point. Itâs not a bad mani/pedi but for $35+ pedi and $45+ gel mani, it has to be more than decent in my opinion. I definitely left feeling like my nails have looked better from a regular no frills nail salon. I think youâre really paying for the atmosphere more than anything else so if you donât mind atmosphere over quality then itâs a good choice. One thing I did appreciate was that my friend and I started/ finished at...
Read moreThis place is not worth the exorbitant prices they charge for their services. Not only was I rushed through an extremely overpriced pedicure (lasting maybe 20 minutes if Iâm being generous when the website had it listed as 45 minutes long), I left the salon with an infected toenail that I had to spend the next week dealing with. I chose to come to Jin Soon for their cleanliness and quality of service and left being extremely disappointed by both. On top of leaving with an infection, the pedicure was one of the worst ones Iâve ever gotten with polish all over my skin, and on top of that the polish chipped within the first 24 hours. Luckily, I was able to get a full refund for my experience after arguing with the owner on the phone and sending her photos of my red, inflamed toe. Donât waste your time or money, just go to your local salonâI promise itâll be a much better experience and youâll leave a lot...
