I had developed a sharp excruciating stabbing pain and was in tears. I called to explain and asked for an appointment. Was put on hold, then the receptionist indicated I had an outstanding balance of $400 and Dr. Kanarek said unless I pay it, I could not be seen. Again, I explained that I was in a lot of pain and could not afford to pay it all today. I was turned away. After seeing other doctors, including an oncologist, my condition was serious and surgery was needed. This doctor is greedy and the callous action speaks volumes. How absolutely cold and uncaring to turn away a patient for a measly amount of money. This is a testament of the terrible experience and says a lot about the poor level of customer care and concern received as a woman. It’s a Shame!! Shame on this doctor and this practice! Was with Dr.Kanarek for two years. At first things were good but recently things have gone down hill big time.
