Le Point Value Thrift — Local services in New York

I was there last Thursday with a friend. I had several items and she had 1. We cashed out and she put her item in my bag which was sitting on top of the register in front of the cashier. We walked away but got distracted by another rack and decided to buy some more items. When cashing out again both cashiers accused my friend of stealing the item she had put in my bag even though the cashier saw her put it in there after paying. It was mortifying. We're in our 30's and never in our lives have we ever been accused of stealing something. We pulled out our receipts and guess what? Not only did she pay for the item they accused her of stealing they had charged BOTH her and me for it. So we had paid twice for it. They mumbled an apology while refunding me but that does not make up for the embarrassment of what we went through, especially since there were other customers there looking at and listening to everything. I had had every intention of going back there but I will never step foot in that store again and would advise other POC to hold onto your receipts least you be subject to accusations based on ugly...

To be honest, I had some time to kill in the neighborhood Saturday morning. Was going to run in to the trendier L Train/Urban Jungle a couple doors down per usual, but they weren't open, so we popped in here for a few minutes. What a SURPRISE! This place is pretty good! the inventory was full of your typical fast fashion brands, with a few more unique pieces throughout. The prices were great, lots of sizes, it seemed clean and I found the employees to be nice enough.

They have lots of good finds here. It’s more on the cheaper side compared to the thrift stores around it which is great. It’s two floors so there’s more to look at. I love shopping here but the only thing that’s bad is the staff. They’ll stare at you all the time you’re trying to shop and they always close earlier than the time they have on the door. They’re generally really rude and I honestly try to interact with them as least as possible. If you can you should pay cash because they’ll make a big deal about you paying with card and they don’t know how to give...
