Long Island City — Local services in New York

I understand we are in an epidemic but the app needs to be more clear of having to make sure you have to have a mask to board the ferry. I am now waiting in the middle of the night with no mask, only 6 people boarded the 9:16pm boat to Pier 11, the workers on the ferry were super nasty. I know it wasn’t their fault but they need to make sure that wearing a mask is more clear on their website when purchasing the ticket and they should be able to provide masks under city laws for those who do not have a mask - esp those who are tourists...

Love the ferry! So great that NY has brought this to the people! Would be really great if the boarding crew would be more consistent. Sometimes all the disembarking happens before boarding passengers are allowed to enter -- which seems to work great and makes a lot of sense. But sometimes the entering and leaving passengers move simultaneously -- today there were two lines boarding and one line (in the middle) leaving the ferry. Tip: if you're in the area and heading to Manhattan, there's a Hunter's Point South stop of East River Ferry route half a mile south that also goes to E 34th. That way you have more flexibility with a staggered schedule, since some times each line only passes every 40 mins.
