Madfes Aesthetic Medical Center — Local services in New York

I've been a long time client of this office and have come to be so disappointed in their practice. I've been going back there almost every month for a stubborn wart on my finger - freezing it, removing it etc and have nearly spent $2K + on doctors visits there over the past few months. I went there today simply for the doctor to look at my finger to make sure it wasn't infected and for two minutes of her time she charged me $250 dollars. Absolutely ridiculous! I told the manager that I simply wanted to make sure that my finger was okay and on the right track and she replied "this is office policy."I'm not typically a complainer and have so much respect for the medical world - but this is beyond me. I have been a patient of both Dr. Madfes and Dr. Williams for years, they are both wonderful and caring physicians and deliver excellent care that is tailored to my needs and aesthetic ideals. They have excellent nurses/assistants, both Angel and Carolyn are lovely and thorough in their instructions. I pay out of pocket and find their fees very affordable, for years I saw in-network dermatologists that were rushed and didn't take my mild/moderate issues seriously. Although those doctors were surely well meaning, I feel I wasted my time and money allowing an insurance company to choose my provider. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Madfes for over 20 years and I’ve probably referred more than 30 people to her (including my husband, and my daughter sees her partner). Everyone has always been extremely happy, as I am. I trust her 100%. She is an excellent doctor and very vigilant with her skin cancer checks. From a cosmetic point of view she is super honest about what won’t work and what will and she’s conservative— you never see anyone “overdone” walking out of her office.
