Will not be coming back here. I have been a loyal customer but this experience was terrible. I went in asking for a low skin taper fade. I showed a picture to the stylist and they proceeded to cut my hair. I trusted them with my hair and let them do their thing. Afterwards I noticed, the fade was nothing like the picture I showed. They had completely shaved the side of my head to the point where it looks bald, nothing was blended properly, and the hair on top was uneven as well.

After speaking to the manager, he only gave excuses about why they couldn’t cut my hair like the picture because of my ethnicity, and hair type. They even mentioned that I had to get a ~$100 soft perm (he mentioned the price) to be able to get a proper low skin taper fade. I told him I have had other barbers give me what I was looking for, so clearly the issue isn’t my hair. Afterwards, he said that I should go to another barber.

I am confused and upset as to why they didn’t tell me in beforehand that they couldn’t cut it like the picture. They never apologized and just made excuses and blamed it on...

Horrible. Paid for a perm and haircut with a lot of issues. Issue#1: Came out with the back of my hair straight. Issue#2: The guy who cut my hair just cut off big chuncks and I know he was annoyed. blaming on my bleach hair when it's actually healthy. My hair is thicker than average and ik it wasn't properly conditioned during the wash. Issue#3: When the guy washed my hair it was so quick and short (felt like 30 sec or a min) I didn't even feel the hands run through my hair. When he was drying it, he twisted my hair and it hurt. Issue#4: when they finished my perm they couldn't cut my hair. It was hard as if melted sugar was in ur hair. It looked okay at first but my friends and I realized my bottom layer was completely straight. They told me to come back in two days for a cut.

Overall from start to finish my hair didn't look good. It really didn't. I went to another hair salon to get it fixed and when I was telling them the scenario, tears fell out of my eyes cuz of how much I hated it. A good outcome from this place was my friends hair who got it dyed. It did...

I had very good experience here today. The lady who welcomed me and washed my hair is so kind! That’s not just a hair wash. It’s more like a head massage, which is super comfortable.

They assign a random hairdresser to me since this is the 1st time I visited MessLook and I knew nobody there. I still don’t know the hairdresser’s name unfortunately…but he is young and with red hat. He is so nice and professional. I like my new hair style.

About the price. Actually different people may have different budget. I moved from Bay Area to the east coast. The salon I went in the bay charged $75+ for long hair cutting and the price increased each year. Compared with that, $38 is an amazing price with their amazing service. However, if you get used to $10 hair cutting services already, you may have different opinions, which also make sense.

I’ll definitely come back again for the hair cutting or other hair services...
