TLDR: If you don't normally do something that makes you feel special and taken care of, try this at least once in your life; you won't regret it, I promise.
Out of the gate, I cannot begin to put into words just how attentive, patient, and detail focused the entire team at Michael Andrews Bespoke truly is. From Sydney up front taking care of calls, questions, schedules, and gate access; all the way to the end to coming in to try on the finished suit for my wedding. The whole process is methodical, a well practiced choreography of teamwork and effort to make sure that not only we get a suit we look good in and feel good in, but also have an experience that is enjoyable, educational, and enriching.
My brother (best man) & I scheduled with Sydney and ended up working with Shane. From day 1 Shane was fantastic and quite literally he never skipped a beat even beyond the literal wedding day. We never felt out of place as two guys getting our first bespoke suit made to measure. After many years of only knowing off-the-rack Macy's & Banana Republic, this was nothing like we had ever experienced. The level of attention to detail, the responses to our questions not only clarifying but also educating so that it already answers the next logical question that would follow, & the level of service is truly unmatched. Shane was a professional that kept things light, fun, and feeling like you're hanging out with an old friend at what happens to be a full bar filled with fabrics, buttons, neckties, and more. Beyond the easy conversation and visible years of practice at his craft, Shane would easily chat, crack a joke, help a colleague, and come back and he would never skip a beat in his attention all while doing the work that needed to be done within the scheduled appointment time. Our appointments at Michael Andrews Bespoke quickly became something my brother and I looked forwards to because it meant getting to spend some extra time together, in great company, in a cool space, with delicious ryes & whiskeys, where time didn't seem to pass as fast in NYC.
THE SUIT - Their options of fabrics, buttons, linings, and more was impressive and even overwhelming had we not been guided and helped by Shane. He would ask what we were looking for and a handful of books with fabric would be pulled as we explained the aesthetic we were aiming towards. We were measured and orders were made in a timely manner, and delivered and scheduled for follow up measures to then polish and further refine what was already made to measure. We looked great, the suits fit us *almost perfectly and Shane was putting in more time and effort to make them even better!
THE WEDDING & AFTER - Not sure how, who, or when during the wedding; but likely an overzealous hug from an aunt with a sharp ring managed to catch and pull a single stitch/thread on my jacket. I didn't notice until I was packing things up to go on my honeymoon. Almost like he sensed something was off, when I checked my email later that day, I had an email from Shane checking in and asking how the wedding went. So I told him about how we looked great, the pictures came out awesome, and the unfortunate thread pull on my jacket I had just noticed earlier that day. Shane again didn't skip a beat, "bring it in, we'll take a look at it, & we'll take care of it." Being so used to off the rack suits it never occurred to me that something like this would simply go back and get taken care of by the professionals that made the piece with such care and attention, I just figured I would take it to a local seamstress. Lucky for me I didn't have to worry about a thing. Shane took care of me, took care of the scheduling, and let me know when the suit was ready for pick-up looking brand new again.
Now my brother and I are already planning our next aesthetic for another suit so that we can upgrade our wardrobe & at the very least cover the basics 1 Gray, 1 Blue, 1 Black suit.
Can't wait to go back and do the process all over again with such an...
Read moreI have a weirdly proportioned body and have worn suits for most of my life - from high school and college in speech and debate, through law school, and now as an attorney. Little did I know, my suits never fit me right.
Suits looked nice on me; particularly when purchased from higher end shops. But they were always generally uncomfortable and felt somewhat "off".
Then I worked with Brady O’Callahan to get fitted for my wedding suit. Game changer. Brady meticulously worked with me to create the perfect suit for my wedding day that fit like a glove. It looked perfect on me - like I should be on a magazine. Most importantly, it was comfortable and I could move around freely (perfect for dancing like a madman on my wedding night).
Brady put in the work. We talked through my preferences, my definition of comfort, my style choices, the whole works. When I wasn't sure, Brady gave me options with Pros of each option.
I was apprehensive about the process because I wanted something special. But Brady made me confident and comfortable. When we did the fitting, Brady approached it like an art, thinking critically about how particular changes could make the suit fit my body better. When it was done. It was literally perfect.
I can't recommend this place more highly. Brady gave me top tier client service - I felt like the most important customer every time I was there. They met my timelines with no headache and I enjoyed every moment of being in their (awesome and accommodating) store.
I will be back - including tailoring for my existing sport coats, and eventually a fully bespoke suit.
Big thanks to Brady and the Michael...
Read moreMichael Andrews and working w/ Shane Lundin has been one of the greatest experiences and investments of my life!
I was on the search for months, visiting 40+ vendors and reviewing hundreds and swatch books and pricing models to find the perfect suitor to build my custom wedding suit design.
I stumbled upon Michael Andrews and from the first consultation I knew they were the guys to go with. I had a vision for a 70s Italian/military vintage style and I was adamant about sourcing a fabric swatch I fell in love with at a competitor shop that was exclusive to them. Shane welcomed my vision with open arms and a solution oriented mindset, even finding ways to help me save close to $1k which was mission critical for me on an already overblown wedding budget (shocker).
I'm 6'3, 215lbs and ended up going the bespoke route per his guidance and I couldn't have been happier. The whole process was a white glove service, Shane went above and beyond with the utmost enthusiasm to bring my vision to life. I came in knowing what I wanted to build and I refused to compromise and fortunately I didn't have to. I also appreciated Shane's exquisite taste which was super beneficial when building the most expensive piece of clothing I've ever purchased haha. And he delivered, I got my 3-piece double-breasted with a high-waisted gurkha, on time and within budget.
The pictures don't do it justice because my fingerprints smudging the camera lens but I will certainly be putting my trust and dollars back with MA+Shane for my next build. Really appreciate the love the care I got here, makes going into the most special day of my life, that...
