I’m not sure who my wife saw as a doctor when reading the other positive reviews here. Dr. Michael Rubin left my wife in tears. He was unprofessional, rude, impatient, had no compassion, or sensitivity in speaking with my wife as a patient (I was in the room). I have never been more angry. My wife came in with a more sudden, aggressively progressing, neuropathy from the past 1.5 years while beginning diagnosed, to rapid progression the past several weeks/month (numbness, tingling, pain, loss of sensation) in her feet spreading up her ankles and legs. She has also been experiencing neuropathy in several other places on her body, arms, face, neck…she was seeking help, professional research, exploration into the possible causes, and guidance into management, outlook, and possible treatment options. After being told to tell him her history (she has an unfortunately long medical history), she was cut off after 10 min and never got to explain to him her current symptoms right as she reached that point. When she tried to convey her current symptoms, he said he didn’t want to hear them he was done listening. We received none of the care, patience, or understanding others seemed to have received. He barely examined her physically (never even asked to remove her shoes to test her numbness/sensation awareness), but aggressively stated to her over and over “what do you want from me?”, “what do I need to do for you?”, “this is wasting my time”. Is this some sort of tactic of his? At first my wife dismissed his abruptness as “his way” (she has extreme patience when dealing with doctor personalities and egos over her many years of medical treatments) but every time she would try to ask him questions, or answer his absurdly aggressive statements, he would shoot her down or interrupt her so she couldn’t get much out; I was in shock watching it unfold. He is the doctor, shouldn’t he be telling my wife and I what the next steps are? “Tell me what you want. Do you want me to run test? I’ll spend your money for you, the hospital will take it.” But no offer of what tests we should seek just an aggressive “Tell me what tests you want. I’ll run them and waste your money.” How are we supposed to know what tests, he is the medical professional… right? It was the most confusing and frustrating appointment where he literally rushed and ushered us out of the office to go wait for over 2 hrs downstairs for bloodwork. I was so angry I refused to wait (which felt like he was just only sending her to be punished, to prove a point). After we arrived to the lab to find this out, we came back up to get the order to take with us. I’m not sure where the doctor from the reviews we’ve read here has gone, but he certainly wasn’t in the office with us yesterday. I’ve never seen my wife cry so hard and, in so much anger, than she did for the entire two hour drive back home. We spent $700 out of network/out of pocket in desperation to see him, money we barely have, and this is the way he treated her? Why? What did she do wrong? Why did he suddenly turn on her? I am disappointed in you Dr. Rubin. Your arrogance failed her and you should be ashamed of your actions and any assumptions you had about my wife and her condition… “Do No Harm” was certainly not your motto yesterday. You are a disappointment after...
Read moreI went to this doctor thinking I would get some answers with my condition, I brought medical records with me and test results because only one doctors report was in the system which has a normal emg result and I had so many emgs that proved I nerve damage, but he didn't even look at the results that I brought with me, I even had results from a pulmonary doctor showing I am having shortness of breath and sleep apnea, which I never got to show him the last 2 years of tests because he already made up his mind from that one doctor that was in the system. He didn't answer any of my concerns he gave me a diagnosis from one of my many symptoms, he made me feel dismissed . It was a waste of my time and money, after waiting so long to see him, I was very disappointed. (Update) I went to another doctor and due to the negligence of this doctor I now have permanent nerve and muscle damage to my legs and autonomic dysfunction. I was diagnosed with myelopathy where time is a factor, I'm now booked for surgery to stop the progression but I will never be the same again and I'm lucky to not have...
