I was contacted by the most unprofessional executive recruiter I ever spoke with whose name is Kathleen Portella about a contractor role with an investment bank. Because she gave me wrong guidance information about the interviews and was unresponsive for a week until late the very previous day to the interview date letting me know that I’m going to have the interview the following day. Also she was extremely rude and unresponsive to any of your essential questions but only responsive immediately when you said you wanted to give her a negative feedback according to the facts . She was very rude and seemed vindictive when you said that and asked you to move forward with another firm instead just because she was not happy with your response. Her manager Johnathan Greenberg was also rude and he scheduled a time with me 3 hours before the interview to help me “prepare” but he didn’t call me until 3 mins before the interview. Also he called me speaking with me very rudely and doubled his voice volume saying “Good luck with your job researches for other things working with other search firms” when I refused to accept his solicitation not to give this bad feedback. I had the phone call recorded and he called me I didn’t call him , he was trying to make me blame myself not them for this experience but I know how unprofessional they were and didn’t want to stop and stay silent of this. Anyone who got contacted from them I don’t suggest taking them seriously as they … you...
Read moreThis had to be the worst interview I had ever been on in my LIFE. I worked for a Fortune 500 company as a recruiter for over two years, I was looking for a new opportunity and saw Mission Staffing was hiring for a recruiter and figured I’d give it a shot. I spoke to Meagan on the phone (she is a partner at mission staffing) and she invited me for an onsite interview. I let her know my commute is about an hour and 35 minutes, I don’t mind commuting to NYC for a job however if the interview can be done via zoom that would be great. She wanted me to test out the commute so I did. I walked in and it was like she had a split personality. She was the rudest, most condescending woman I have ever met in my life. She had a printed out resume of mine which I EMAILED TO HER PRIOR yet she asked why I didn’t bring my resume? Then she continued to tell me I was not a recruiter and had no experience recruiting and that I was a “sourcer”. After 10 minutes of her condescending attitude she told me to leave and that the interview was pointless because I didn’t bring my resume and I was a sourcer. On top of commuting an hour and 35 minutes to her office I was only there for 10 minutes and had to commute back. STAY AWAY!!! She consistently reaches out to recruiters via LinkedIn and tries to steal them from other agencies. Unsure who her boss is but whoever it is, should have a conversation with her and maybe fire her while they’re at it if they want Mission Staffing to have...
Read moreAfter graduating college, I had a clean slate with limitless opportunities… but there was a problem. I had been applying to jobs through LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, you name it. I was throwing my resume into this large void. It was a hopeless few months, and nothing changed until I randomly got a call from Max Cohen.
To this day it still blows my mind how quickly everything went. I went from zero-prospects to having and introductory call with a well-respected firm in my field the next day. Max made me feel like I was the only person he was working with. After going through interviews with several firms, Max called me and said the magic words, “They’re ready to make an offer.” I am still at the company Max placed me at three years ago.
Working with Max was an absolute pleasure, and throughout that time Max coached me on interviewing and provided excellent feedback. I was a terrible interviewer, but he helped me fix that.
There’s no one else I would rather work with. If the time ever comes where I am looking for a new job, Max will be...
