This is the WORST NAIL SALON I've ever been to. My experience at NY Beauty Spa was horrendous. If I could give this place 0 stars, I WOULD!!! My friend and I decided to get our nails done on September 18th for her birthday. I've made an appointment to get a manicure. The nail technician who did my nails was very disrespectful and rude to me. As she started doing my nails, she gave a disgusted look and told me to wash my hands as if my hands seemed dirty to her. Then two minutes into doing my nails, she demanded I pay first. I told her that I would prefer to pay after because I want to make sure my nails are done properly with great service. At all nail salons I've been to before, they always do the service first and then have customers pay after, which is the standard procedure at nail salons. However, she decided to do her own thing and stopped doing my nails to forced me to pay first, which I had no choice to just pay. I told her that if the service was great, I would pay tip after. After I paid, she continued to do my nails and was rough with my hands. She did not take her time and was rushing through the process. My nails ended up looking horrible and messy. I was highly upset and just wanted the service to be over. I was very dissatisfied with the service at this nail salon, especially at the end. The nail technician lady yelled at me and demanded she get a tip, which I refused based on the service. She then told me "This is America, you MUST pay tip". Honestly, I don't know why she felt the need to say that, as I am an American born citizen and I know the laws on tip in this country. I told her that tip is optional and is based on the quality of service. My service was not good. I told her that I was not going to argue with her. As I was walking out, she said "LEAVE. NEVER come back. I am NEVER allowed back here again". I thought this was very disrespectful and out of pocket to say this because she honestly delivered bad service and was automatically expecting a tip, while also being proud to kick me out of the nail salon and ban me from coming back. I hope that she knows that I would NEVER EVER come back to this nail salon and I would NEVER recommend anyone to go here. I've faced harassment, disrespect, and horrible quality of service. I have been doing my facial treatments and nails at this place over 10 years. They moved to this location 2 years ago. The owner and staffs are nice and friendly there. I have been stick with the same person for facial treatments since I started there so no doubt she is good for me.

For nails, I really like the lady whom I have been with her past few years. She can do many good designs, how to match nice nail colors, pay attention to details and clean nails very well too.

Honestly I have been trying other nail salons in between, I still come back to the lady. She knows what I want.

The place is also nice and clean. I feel very comfortable to spend hours to do facials and get my nails done there.

Had to wait 30 minutes past my appointment Had to go look for a beautician from the service room, after being told that some one would be with me By far, the worst beautician! I was in for a wax and she blindly missed obvious patches of hair; I had to point them out and have her redo it Burnt a patch of skin during my Brazalian wax ,ouch! Had the audacity to ask for a tip after all this and would not let me go until I tipped, even though I blatantly mentioned that "I do not way to tip, the service was horrible". Tips are earned, not demanded!
