One Beauty Hair Salon — Local services in New York

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED! I asked for the price before anything and they said $13, they said it would suit me and would look beautiful (you would think this entails they know how to do it) What they did almost made me cry. It was not like the picture I showed them at all, they cut so much hair and took out all the volume. When it was time to pay the lady at the front desk wanted tips, (THE AUDACITY!!!!!) Even though I didn't like it, I was gonna give $5 but she said she wanted $3 for herself for washing my hair and $3 for the guy who cut it. At the end I don't know why but they charged me $38. I paid for it but I asked the guy why it totaled to $38 and he just stared at me. They were talking in a different language so I didn't understand what they were saying but it seemed that the guy that cut my hair also realized my hair was not looking good yet he kept saying it was beautiful. I read the reviews thats why I came so I don't know what happened. I'm just saying if you can't do it then please don't experiment on someone, i'm getting it...

I recently visited this salon for a balayage treatment, hoping to achieve a neutral brown look ,as shown in the reference of photo I provided to stylist.Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. Instead of the subtle brown tones I had requested my hair ended up being turned blonde.This was a drastic change that was completely different from what I asked for.However, I do want to mention that the owner Anna is a really nice lady & was out of town during my visit . Overall, I’m very unhappy with the outcome & I wouldn’t return for similar service. Hopefully the salon can improve its coloring technique & customer experience...

My go to hair salon, they’re all very nice and are very careful with doing your hair exactly how you want it. If you’re worried about a language barrier don’t be it’s super easy to communicate as there are English speaking stylist there (from my experience since I don’t speak any Chinese). I love how my hair comes out every time after a wash, cut and style exactly like the pictures i show for reference.
