Park Slope Event Space — Local services in New York

I recently had a baby shower at this event space and it was the most wonderful experience. Working with Althia and Michael was a delight. The space sells itself but to have people who help you bring your vision to life and who are just nice and personable is a whole other thing. My initial contact was with Michael and I immediately felt comfortable with him. Often times when you go to some event spaces that are nice you are made to feel as if you are doing them a favor by booking their space. Not here. I came in for a open house and Michael greeted me. He showed me around, got an idea of what I was interested in and explained how Pses could work for me. I didn’t feel pressured at all but he did follow up a a day or two later to see if I was interested. I honestly was narrowing down between Pses and another space but with all Pses had to offer there was no competition between the two. They have an awesome package that offers you a doorman, coat check, pedal stools, chivalry chair, photo booth and more for a price that is unmatched especially for the area. After agreeing to have my event there and leaving my deposit it was time to meet Althia who is an absolute sweetheart. She helped me and my support team map everything out by creating a floor plan with us and helped us with decor ideas. She had a beautiful spirit and personality. Both Michael and Althia were very professional, punctual, and responsive and it was much appreciated. From the beginning I felt like they were there as a support for me and my significant other in any way we needed. The day of the event Michael offered and helped my family and best friends bring boxes of items in. The layout we chose was put into place and Althia was there to make sure everything started and ran smoothly. Aside from Althia was three other gentlemen who were amazing and super accommodating. Our Baby Shower this past Saturday exceeded all of our expectations. Althia was a joy to work with and Mike graciously gave us a tour of the venue, laid out all the information and answered all of our questions. One of the highlights of the event is seeing our guests having a wonderful time and talking positively about the event during and a day after. Althia is a master decorator and event planner, excellent listener and brings your vision to life. We had delicious catering, dj and then later on, we had a live jazz band (for the old and young folks). Covid guidelines were followed, security at the front door was provided (checked temps) and Althia's staff were all professional, attentive and friendly. My mother and sister-in-law kept communication lines with Althia who was very accommodating and cares about your event as if it was hers. My husband and I honestly had no idea what to expect on the day of our baby shower but when we stepped into the venue we were very happy. Let me start off saying I look around at a few venues in Brooklyn and PSGS was by far the best venue out of all those I previewed. When I walked into the place, I knew this was perfect for my Great Gatsby birthday celebration. The two owners Micheal Althea were lovely and accommodating through the whole process. I had a vision of what I wanted for my party and expressed it with Althea. She mentioned she also had a decorating and clean up service. This service was perfect for me as I didn't want to worry about anything on my day. I explained what I wanted; she assured me she could bring my dream party to reality. She went above and beyond on my decorations; it was stunning precisely what I wanted. Everyone came in loved the decoration and venue I was so happy with the outcome.
