Party Plan-It - Brooklyn Costumes, Balloons Delivery, Party Goods, Chair Rentals — Local services in New York

I'm all for supporting the local neighborhood stores but this place was absolutely a waste of time. I walk in on a saturday afternoon around 12pm intending to buy a set of huge gold foil balloons: a 2 and a 7. I see that they have a couple of customers ahead of me and the workers are busy so I just waited patiently by the door. There were only 2 people working in there. The owner and probably his mother. There were probably only 5 customers in there but they were slammed. The older lady looks over to me and asks me if I needed help and I told her and the owner what I needed. She told me I had to wait b/c everybody came in for balloons at the same time. I totally understand, small business: a lot of customers will cause slow service. I wait about 30 minutes before the owner is able to help me out. I tell him once again what I need and he tells me they are sold out of the gold 2's and that they only have rose gold 2's. I mean to make me wait 30 minutes to tell me you don't even have what I wanted is ridiculous. These balloons aren't even cheap at $12 a piece. If i didn't waste 30 minutes there i would've left. Probably not coming back to this...

I recently had the pleasure of calling around to find a snail balloon for a special occasion, and after reaching out to numerous stores, I was thrilled to discover party plan-it party city. They were the only place that answered my call, with a friendly response! Every place I called in the area was nasty and said no and just hung up . Although they didn’t have the balloon.

It’s refreshing to encounter such great customer service, especially when you're on a hunt for something specific.

Unfortunately my experience wasn’t good. The store was messy and unorganized, but the worker seemed nice so I placed my order. I brought in 16 of my own balloons. When I picked up the balloons, there were a lot wrong. For one, I ordered a 1 and 8 and I received a 2 and 8. Not to mention the 8 didn’t even float. A couple of other regular balloons also didn’t float, and I somehow had a couple colors off. For example, one hot pink balloon that definitely wasn’t in the colors I gave. Safe to say, not...
