Guac Time Mexican Grill — Restaurant in New York

So we came here one day about a month ago and a young guy immediately ignored me and my companion, right off the bat, so we assumed that he was just a cook or food preparation kind of guy. The young female employee with the glasses was kind enough to take my order and my wife followed behind, looking at the menu overhead. Shortly afterwards, the aforementioned young guy that had ignored us, took the order of the person behind my wife, and completely ignored her. She got angry and shouted immediately in protest and the male employee still didn't remedy the situation. Good thing that the young lady that helped me, was kind enough to take her order as well. By that time, there were tons of other people on the line and the guy behind the guy behind my wife made some unnecessarily, hostile comments to her that escalated things as if she wasn't on line the whole time in front of him. That whole time, that male employee from earlier never looked at us, nor apologized or explained his non-customer-service-friendly actions. I wonder if it was due to racism or sexism. Either way, if you come to this location, please ensure that you get a hold of the young lady with the glasses to assist you- she is supper friendly, helpful and more than accommodating. That male employee, on the other hand, was virtually and literally useless. Wouldn't recommend him at all. He should probably stick to being a cook or food preparer or something due to his obvious lack of customer service and communication skills. Thankfully, the food turned out good, as it was our first time there. But that was, unfortunately, our first experience there with this local chain restaurant. I’m so disappointed of this restaurant, my family used to go very often because the food was pretty good, but Saturday 7/19/2025 at night I when to eat with my family as usually and we had seen bad things that happened during the time we were eating, the workers are wearing black gloves all the time and they touch all the food to mix it with them without any utensils, like the salads, onions and fresh vegetables as well as the tortillas, but the best part is that with the same gloves they touch the money at the cash register, one of the girls touch the door handle and the door from the fridge and touch the garbage and clean the trays with the same one, she when behind the counter and mixed all the vegetables and the food with the same glove and contaminanaited then food with germs, then the men that was making the meat in the grill took off his gloves and one off them felt on the floor he picked up put back and touch the meat with it and put it into the trays to be served, this is not right at all the food I think the should be more higiene and have a manager or supervisor to see all what they do and be more clean and change the gloves all the time and don’t touch the food with their hands at all , I will never go back to that place I feel disgusting after I purchased the food and we couldn’t eat it at all, it’s a waste of money and really bad to eat and see all that in a restaurant that has an A as sanitation from the city, and they don’t see what they really do with the food and how disgusting...

Honestly this place is only good if you order in store, the amount of food is significantly less when you order on the app. To save time I usually order on the app and go in person to pick up. The lady who got handed my order didn’t know I was there and scooped so little rice, honestly my bowl looked empty by the time she was done. The guy who took over my order and ended up making my second bowl gave a lot more food cause he knew I was in front of him . So either don’t get the girls or don’t order ahead. Still love the food here but only when I’m ordering in person. This practice should be frowned upon I’m pretty sure there was some news about chipotle doing this and they got a bad rep for it and then it got changed. So note to management whether people are ordering in store or on the app they’re still paying customers should be treated the same.
