I feel so bad leaving this review but this is probably one of the worst massages I've ever had. I really needed some pain relief in my back so I stayed but I would not come back nor recommend this spa to anyone else. To start, the place didn't seem all that put together however, I usually don't let that try to deter me from what could be a very good service. Unfortunately, I should have listened to my instincts that this place seemed sketch because it only went downhill from there.
I came 15 minutes early to my appointment which no one came to attend to me at first to check me in. When someone did they didn't ask my name or take payment, they simply sent me to a room to undress. I tried to ask the older man who sent me to undress how it worked since I had a Groupon, but it became clear he didn't speak nor understand much English so I decided to wait. I was undressed in an area that only had curtains for partitions for like 10 minutes before he finally came back to attend to me. He then asked if I used a Groupon and when I tried to show him, he tried to take my phone away from me and then DID without preamble before the service started. He only massaged my shoulders, back, and feet, though it was supposed to be a full body massage. I asked multiple times for lighter pressure but he didn't take the hint and continued on. I was so tense throughout the whole experience because I was very uncomfortable from the pressure and he did not take my moans of pains as guidance to what he was doing. He would simply state that I was "very strong" to be able to take what he was giving when I periodically found myself questioning if I could properly breathe with how hard his elbow was in my back/ribs. After killing me with that, I was told to flip over where he maliciously went over my feet for the last half hour of my 90 minute session to waste time and hurt me. Amidst this "massage" he would proceed to leave from the space multiple times without warning me and would leave the curtain open where anyone walking in the hallway could see me. Furthermore, as none of the rooms where actual rooms he'd periodically have a conversation with someone outside of the room that would also prompt him to leave in the middle of the service. When I left I was forced to give a tip for the services based off how long the service was and that was unknown until stepping into the spa that day. When I asked to do it over Venmo (as it was an option), he proceeded to come from behind the front desk and look over my shoulder to look into my phone to make sure I tipped him! When I told him I did, he did not believe me until I showed him the transaction on my phone. There was just so much audacity and terrible communication that couldn't be rectified unfortunately so I just dealt with it and left. Needless to say, I got exactly what I paid for. I couldn't ask for much for under $50 but this was not the service I...
Read moreDecided to walk in on a whim for a 60 minute massage. Probably one of the worst massages I’ve ever had. The towel on the bed was wet and the pillow was too. I requested a dry towel and they brought me the same damp towel. The massage itself was basically the guy pressing his forearms into my back and leaning into my back with his full body weight. The few times he used his fingers, he rushed through it and tugged on my skin. I kept telling him to just focus on my neck and shoulders and yet he kept doing my lower back and mid back and tried to do my legs. 80% of the massage was done with the damp towel on top of me, instead of using lotion and using his hands directly on my skin. He also kept talking and tried to upsell me during the massage, and I had to repeatedly state that I wanted only the 60 minutes. After the massage, i tried paying with credit card and they said they only accept cash because their credit card machine was down. I had to walk four blocks, with the front desk guy weirdly following me, to Chase, and wait in line for ten minutes to get cash. After paying, the guy berated me about the tip. Horrible massage. So unprofessional. Will...
Read moreDO NOT GO There!!! Thats a WARNING: I had the worst experience ever. The staff were very unprofessional, Clearly they had no Idea how to massage . It seemed like they only there for the money and dont care from the satisfaction of their customers as long as they are paying. In addition, the staff were very loud and yelled on each other all the time. I felt very uncomfortable and I asked them if they can play some background relaxing music and they gave me a weird look. It was very noisy all the time and I did not enjoy at all and felt discomfort. I Forgot to mention that the lady wich massaged me left her Phone between my feet and the phone vibrated every few seconds!!! How annoying and unprofessional is that ? Eventually I paid 40$ for hour of back rub and I gave them 5$ tip, they said I have to leave minimum of 10$ tip! In my opinion they didnt deserve any tip, I told them I wont leave more because I was very disappointed and they were upset and mad at me, demanding their tips. I Will...
