Liwei Beauty Spa — Local services in New York

Have been wanting to get microbladed eyebrows for a long time but never could find a place that was reasonable enough for my wallet, but also have high quality results. I found Liwei on Groupon and messaged them on Instagram to ask them a few questions (**NOTE: It's better to ask them to price match the Groupon price, rather than buying it from Groupon. I sent them a screenshot of my Group price and they matched it right away!). They were very responsive and helpful when I asked them about their work and their brow artists. I worked with Grace and she was the best! So detailed and so patient-- she drew on my brows to show me how the shape would look and made sure I was satisfied with them before starting the 6D microblading process. She even made sure that I was happy with the colors and listened attentively to what I wanted and was honest about the examples I showed her. I am about a month healed in and although I was scared with how dark my brows looked at first (which she warned me about) they look absolutely natural and fantastic now. So many people have complimented me and were surprised to know that they were microbladed-- they said it's so natural! Grace was also very thorough talking about the aftercare process and what to do-- she suggested buying a cream from Liwei for aftercare, but she said Aquaphor was ok too (which is what I did). Avoid This Place. Disappointing Experience

I visited this location with a friend on Friday, September 12, 2025, and unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant.

Upon arrival, the receptionist immediately tried to upsell us on a $200–$300 facial package, even though we clearly showed a screenshot of a Groupon deal. She told us it was only valid for a one-time use, even though the terms were not clear.

After using the restroom—which was noticeably dirty—we returned for our facial, which included a massage. The shoulder massage was mediocre at best (I’d rate it a 5/10). The facial involved a basic humidifier and a sheet mask that you could easily buy from Sephora for $5. It was left on for just five minutes before being wiped off. Honestly, the entire treatment felt cheap and rushed, something you could easily do yourself at home for under $20.

At the end, they strongly pushed for an 18–20% cash tip, and it was uncomfortable. It felt like they were talking about us in another language when we hesitated. The treatment beds were also not clean or comfortable, which added to the overall unpleasant experience.

I was very skeptical about getting microblading done so I asked a lot of questions. I thought microblading would be like getting a tattoo in which it lasts forever, it's not though it does feel like one. Moon did my eyebrows and she was very informative while catering to your expectations. I truly love my eyebrows. I was surprised at how they came out when I was done. She also did a few more touch ups just so we can get it to my exact liking. I have a touch up to do in 6 weeks and she stated my eyebrows would last me probably more than 2 years because my skin is dry around the eye. The more oily or moisturize your skin is the more it impacts the longevity of the ink. They are super clean there and very kind. They care more about your expectations. I came in with my eyebrows already drawn in just so she gets an idea of what I like... And she did not disappoint. But just so you know IT HURTS!!!!
