I had a horrible experience with this guy. I had one heel from Patricia Fields that broke and needed it to be put back if at all possible. I came to Ruslan Custom Shoe Boutique Inc. in hopes of some sort of help. He explained that he would put a whole new heel on both shoes for $100 or fix the other heel for $75 and made up put a $50 deposite down. Then I looked at his flyer and realized to fix a heel is $50. Now don’t get me wrong I have no problem paying for good work. Plus I needed the shoes for a performance I was doing that weekend. He promised he could have the shoes fixed by Friday. And I know that is asking for a lot for something to be fixed in 2-3 days. But if it couldn’t be done don’t promise and make me spend 75 for nothing.

When we arrived ( a bit late because he didn’t finish the job until 6pm) he first made us do work for him and fill out paper work to other customers. And made my cousin go to the store for him. I mean we are not assholes, and I have no problem helping out and this made me think that he did a fabulous job on the shoes. When I look into the bag he asked me for 100 and I was huh u said of all things it would be 75 even though on the flyer its 50. Then when I look at the heel it was basically super glues together and then he shoved CORK in the side of the heel. Promising that it was sturdy and such. The heel was at an angle and looked like with the wrong twist it would break but again he promised. The next day when I work them the heel broke yet again because the angle on the shoe made me slip down stairs.

NOW he wont pick up the phone. Very bad service, very bad work = very bad business. Don’t waste your time...

I went to get my shoes fixed because the adhesive separated from the soles of the shoes. First of all, he charged me 50$ which was absurd to begin with. He kept going on and on about how the soles arent “waterproofed” and that he was gonna make them “ waterproof”. All he did was spray shoe protector spray that I couldve got easily on Amazon for 16 bucks. Anyway, I wait for him to finish the shoes and he tells me to wait 24h before wearing them again for the adhesive to dry. 48h later i wear the shoes again and the soles are separating already… I go to the shop again and show it to the guy and he pretends that this new part that separated wasnt there in the first place. I tell him he is wrong and he tells me he’ll do the shoes free of charge. I tell him to also remove the scuffed up adhesive he left on the sole when he “fixed” them the first time. I come back to pick up the shoes and the separated part and scuffed up marks are still there. He babbles about how his guy mustve not used enough adhesive. Mind you the shoes have not been touched by him or his guy for that matter. I come back a third time he isnt there and tells me to come back after 20 mins. Don't bother trying to get any custom or orthopedic shoes from Rafaello. We met with him a year ago to see about getting custom shoes that would accommodate my wife's ankle foot orthotic. We explained in detail what her situation is, how the AFO works and what the footwear needs to do in order for her to get her foot in. It was tough to get Rafaello to pay attention to that as all he wanted to do was show us videos from happy customers and talk over us. Eventually we got to a point where he assured us that he knows exactly what to do. Thousands of dollars and a year later with lots of back and forth and he still hasn't been able to deliver a product that is even close to working. He sends a shoe that she can't even get her foot in. When we tell him that he asks us to send him a video of her walking in it so he can see what the problem is! Every time we send them back to him with multiple issues that need to be fixed he takes several weeks and only addresses one of the problems. When I let him know that the fix didn't work and he didn't take care of the other issues he says "send me video". I have sent multiple videos, diagrams, photos, measurements and critical information only to have it ignored. Stay far away from...
