Employees are horrible. I was given attitude by the girls at the register, because I told them I ordered an iced coffee back where I ordered my panini (I had, the guy took my whole order, even asked how big I wanted the coffee). When my sandwich order came though, it was only my sandwich and one of the girls at the register asked if I was still waiting on anything. I said yes, my iced coffee, to which she said she never got an order for one, and the other girl at the register asked who had taken my order. When I pointed him out, she snarkily said it was impossible that I placed my coffee order where I had placed my panini order and that I had to order the coffee at the register instead. I just said something along the lines of "okay, so where do I see the menu again? I forgot what type of coffee I ordered." and she again, filled with attitude and a hint of confusion (trying to act like I was stupid for not seeing it), pointed at some menu stuck to the glass of the display and said "right there?". I then told her which coffee I wanted, paid for it. Like another review here stated, the girl then turned around and made fun of me to her coworkers in Spanish. I'm Cuban. I would've argued with her back in Spanish, but I'm a better person than she is and have a nicer life, so I just took it. I then went to eat my food, now a little annoyed. That's when, from the mezzanine, I saw a lady with an infant she was carrying accidentally drop a coffee she was holding, spilling it onto the floor. Rather than helping the lady, the employees instead watched as the lady spent minutes grabbing napkins from the napkin dispenser one by one (still, with a baby on her shoulder) and cleaned up the coffee from the floor, one napkin at a time. This was my first and last time here. I almost didn't want to leave this review, as employees not being good people isn't the fault of the business owner, but of the employees' parents, in the unlikely event they had any at all. You can teach customer service, but you can't teach basic human decency. Food...
Read moreI went to Bagel Pub on 3/15 at 8am upon entering I noticed very nice display of all the cream cheeses so placed my order at the counter and then asked an older man where the bathroom was, That’s where it goes downhill :he did not answer verbally he just pointed his finger in the direction of the bathroom. I had to come back to ask the man if there was a code and he was very rude and said don’t bother him he was to busy! He also said some profanity in Spanish thinking I wouldn’t understand, but I am Latina as well. I was shocked at his response and told him “if you would have used your words when I asked you the first time you could have told me the code! The manager saw that I was having a verbal confrontation with the man and did not approach to ask what was the problem. A young blonde lady that was at the register approached me and ask what happen and I explained that the customer service was lacking and if a customer ask a question the response should not be how that aman responded. I also noticed that the bathroom code is written on a little piece of paper that doesn’t say it’s the bathroom code. It’s unfortunate that this establishment has staff that does not represent them well! And will loose customers for BAD customer service. My experience with the staff was horrible so it took away from enjoying the food...
Read moreA good bagel egg cheese pork roll sandwich is a comforting and satisfying combination of flavors and textures. It starts with a fresh, chewy bagel—classic choices include plain, everything, or sesame—lightly toasted to add a touch of crispness. The eggs are fried to perfection, with a soft, fluffy center or a slightly runny yolk, depending on your preference. Melted American cheese blankets the eggs, adding a creamy richness.
The star ingredient, the pork roll (also called Taylor ham in some regions), is thickly sliced and pan-fried until crispy on the edges and juicy in the center, delivering a salty, savory punch. The components are layered with care, and the sandwich is finished with a dash of black pepper for a little extra kick. When you take a bite, it’s a perfect balance of warm, gooey, salty, and satisfying goodness.
What a selection of cream cheeses as well! Zoom in to the photo to see all of the choices — I will highlight a few; chipotle, bacon scallion, Nutella, cucumber. If you’re looking for a bagel shop in NYC, you won’t be...
