i have purchased MUCH oil paint from Robert. Actually i bought one of the last 50 lb lots of Flemish white pigment, Walnut oil for medium, and a binder. i say the Last of Flemish white. The Brothers that created this pigment, in Belgium, i believe, have passed, and either did not have anyone to pass the business onto, or failed to write the formula and method. In any event, someone would have to play around a lot with the process to recreate this beautiful lead white pigment. i rarely use another white, and its only if i need a WHITE white. i avoid titanum white like the plague as it cracks in time, no matter what you do.
