They promote free sock give aways than actually address the concerns of the neighborhood. I’ve sent countless of community requests that never been followed up. From stolen packages, to trash, to drug abuse that hasn’t been dealt with or getting local authorities involved. They spend more of our tax dollars creating events, than improving the roads, infrastructure, and even the public recreation of benches for residents who are elders / disabled to sit in. There is more focus of care to tourists who abuse our gondola 🚡 than prioritizing the transportation needs of locals. There’s no social services for young adults, lgbtq community, and the no affordable public housing, as the island is becoming rapidly privatized and overpriced. Going towards the Island I rode in the front. Going toward city the view from the back is best. The fair is the $2.50. Same as NYC subway & train. The turnstiles take metrocards only. You can also use your unlimited metrocards, therefore price is included. The tram itself was bigger than what I expected.
