It seems like it is really hard to find good Chinese food in New York City these days...even from the hole in the wall spots. When you go to NYC Chinese food spots, you're not expecting Michelin star quality or the most sanitary conditions, but the quality of the food is declining. Fried rice is yellow, when typically one would expect it to be soy sauced base, therefore it would be more brown in color. Breaded chicken dishes like Sesame Chicken and General Tso are mostly breading, with no chicken really to be found. General Tso is often listed as spicy, but no spice or peppers can be detected. Just disappointing all around. Is this the price of gentrification? The westernizing of literally all of the dishes? Recently reordered a few dishes after taking a year plus long break from ordering. Aside from not being the healthiest option, I just felt like the food wasn't hitting like it should. I can tell that they must have changed cooks since that time. I used to get the Honey Fried Chicken Wings (fried hard to keep crispy) and what arrived was disgusting and inedible. The chicken was covered in this gel like substance that wasn't even sweet. The fried rice also didn't taste fresh, some grains having a bit of bite to them. Roast pork egg roll void of any real roast pork. I also ordered 2 other dishes because often times, I am pretty sure something is going to suck and I want to have a back up option. Those entrees were general tso and spare ribs, both of which were underwhelming and were not finished. While the ribs were charred nicely, the marinade on them wasn't quite right. The total cost of these three dishes were $50+, which is a bit unheard of for Chinese food of this quality. The delivery is fast and the gentleman who delivers is very kind, but between the poor food quality and the crazy fees from ordering through the platforms, I find it an easy pass.

At this moment, this eatery is the only Chinese style place serving American-Chinese food on the island. The majority of Chinese people are choosing this place as their dinning place for lunch and dinner. The price is awesome. Look at my attached photo. All together only cost less than $10 and you definitely can have your stomach full. However, the Beef mushroom is a little bland. I guess they forgot to ask me if I need soy sauce. Very tiny in area and not suitable for hosting parties. AC is not quite strong so don't dine-in in a sweltering summer day. Service is friendly. They have an ATM inside so I speculate they only accept cash.

Ordered dumplings and General Tso's chicken platter, both were very good. A great take out place for Chinese food when all you crave is dumplings. Do try.

The Food is MID… but not many options on the island . The male staff are very friendly. The women not so much. & they charge extra for condiments which lost me completely . Why am I paying $1 extra for needing ketchup or bbq sauce on the food because its dry ? . The only other thing I dont like is that they have their atm fee set at one price on the screen but they really charge you extra which is false advertisement and basically theft. I would’ve been a consistent customer but every time i come and get the SAME meal …its always a new rule when it comes to condiments & its always a new price when it comes to this same meal. Ya’ll are not Ruth Chris . Calm down… Therefore. I will be spending my money elsewhere! Work on the attitude of the women and the consistency of food , pricing, and ridiculous...
