Absolutely the worst manicure experience. If you go, do not see Miya. I had a bad feeling from the start when she worked so hastily. She kept commenting that I had a lot of cuticle skin (ok fine, whatever) and rushed thru pushing it back really roughly that it was a little painful at times. But the worst of it was when she cut my pinkie finger so awfully and made me bleed pretty decently. As you can see from the photo, the cut skin is well below the cuticle area which never would happen if she was working carefully. She didn’t even apologize when it happened. Eventually she said a brief sorry but followed with “it’s ok, it’ll be fine”. (Sorry, let me decide if my cut finger will be “ok” or not). The final manicure job is just awful as you can also see from the photos, uneven, unclean painting. Lastly, she proceeded to take photos of my hands without asking or mentioning her intentions. She simply placed my hands together and took out her phone. A bit dumbfounded, I asked “what are you doing?” to which she responded “taking photos” as if there was absolutely no problem with what she was doing. Honestly, I don’t know why she would even want to photograph her awful job. But regardless, how do you do that without asking for permission?

Wish I could give 0 stars. Probably the worst manicure I have ever received in my life. No sense of precision. My fingers and cuticles had polish. I would have probably had a better outcome if I had done it myself or my 5 year old niece did my manicure. I’m not sure how this place is in business. This was the worst experience with getting my nails done I have ever had. They manicurists (if you could even call them that) were very rude to my friend and I when we said we would like a regular manicure instead of gel and seemed as if they were doing us a favor by doing our nails. Will never be coming back. Go to Fashion nail and spa next door, it’s a waste of your time and money to go to this place.

Really average quality. Sad to say, just another chop shop. I asked for the gel bottle product as usually you have to have taken one of their course to use their product. Clear the technician had no idea what she want doing. I flipped my hand to create the Alexa and she looked at me weird. She couldn’t manœuvre the product, and punched it right up to cuticles…but no no

Just had an awful experience here so this will add to the list. I came in the early evening and was rushed from the get go with no introduction....For no reason...no one was waiting and closing time was in two hours! I wanted a simple manicure but Miya was VERY rough and cut my nails too short! When I protested she didn't seem to understand and there was no apology. A woman who seemed to be a manager didn't seem to care despite being aware of the situation. Then she asked if there was a problem and I said yes but I wasn't going to discuss it in front of everyone...very unprofessional! Though she made it clear she prefers cash! I won't bother contacting the owner....they probably don't care! I just can't believe the terrible service especially in a posh neighborhood like the UES. Will not be back and definitely do...

I'm really torn about this review because on the one hand, this is my go-to spot mainly because they are consistently fast and reasonably priced, however... lately the professionalism and kindness seems to be missing- there is a sense of annoyance and exasperation from the staff. I don't underestimate the difficult, frustrating, and often thankless job they do and I am always really grateful monetarily and in my actions and verbally but it's hard to feel welcomed here lately. Also the quality has been really missing lately, the special 2 miinut neck message that was one, well, special that they give while drying feels so lame it makes you feel so awkward you don't even want it. I used to love this place and it would be such little effort/minor changes to make it good again I...
